NAMIBIA: Johnnyblues V.S. Mr. Spots Round Two

Thanks. A big congrats once again on your leopard! Great feeling to harvest one. Cant believe I got my cities import permit so quickly.

I’m going to wait to apply for mine, I don’t want it to expire before I can get it out of Zimbabwe! My mind is so clear and relaxed after getting that huge leopard.

Man, I can’t believe how quickly things are progressing along. I posted recently how I received my import tag from USFW in less the 3 months. Yesterday I received an email notification that my capes etc were ready to be picked up and to send money for crate, flight etc. Crate will clear customs in Baltimore airport and then onto my taxidermist in Pennsylvania.

Got an email from my shipper in Namibia yesterday told me MET told him the permits will be issued next week and export of capes ,horns will begin. I’m very surprised on again how quickly everything is moving forward.

That is all wonderful news. Quite unexpected in this day and age!

Moving right along! Cities permit received on the African side. Vet permit will be in hand early next week. I’m again very surprised this process came together so quickly.

Unbelievable! I wonder if it’s just because Namibia tries to help hunters out? RSA is like watching frozen molasses!

Not sure Phil but I’m happy about it !

I’m not too excited
Right! Just amazing it got here so quickly! I’m still waiting on Limpopo to approve a civet from 2018!
Namibia must be much better about CITIES approvals.

Crate has landed! I’m not too excited ;)

WOW! Seems like everything is falling into place on the quicker side of things than normal!! Exciting(y)

I know, everything has gone very smoothly, I’m getting worried. Lol

. Not only has the cities process gone well in Namibia but to get the cities permit here in only 3 months really surprised me. I think it helped that my PH is best friends with the owner of Kings Taxidermy so dip and pack too went quickly.

Congrats JB, those are awesome news.

Great to hear that everything is going so smooth. You had Vanessa at hunters international doing your import didn’t you? How have you liked working with them?

To be honest everything except communication I like. I send emails and rarely get one back. Leave phone messages with the same response.

Hello! I saw your post from last year about a missing crate from your hunt in Moz. I am curious how that all turned out? We (my fiancé and I) also hunted in Moz in 2024 and the trophies are being shipped with Hunters Services Limitada. We have some concerns on whether we will get the trophies home or not. May I ask who you hunted with?
