I’ve been trying to get my 14 year old son weened off the AR. He likes the pistol grip and adjustable stock. We are finally moving beyond the standard teenage boy area suppression fire after missing a nice buck this Winter…maybe the old man is on to something about making one shot count?[emoji1]. Anyway, I’m not much of a fan of new tech rifles. I saw a couple of these chassis setups and figured we’d try one. This is a LSS by MDT. The action is a Bighorn Origin. The intent is to shoot 6X45, but I had this 6.5 Manbun barrel here from a Savage project so today I cut it down to 17” and threaded it 5/8-24 for the Silencerco Harvester. It’s about 8.5lbs as is. The new barrel will be carbon fiber and hopefully we’ll lose an additional half a pound with it.

First impressions of the chassis is positive. The machining is very nice. It’s too heavy. The hardware is Magpul. Plastic but decent quality. Hope to get a range report soon. Right now the conditions are not conducive to a fun time at the shooting area.

Here’s a pic:

I dropped a Howa Mini action into a MDT LSS for my grands to hunt with. That adjustable butt stock is what sold me, it has worked very well, I think you will like yours.

At either weight, it sure as heck won't have a recoil issue.

Hello - I was looking at your post from several years ago regarding the Winchester 300 H&H. Any chance you still have the lefty M70 300 H&H for sale?
Thank you, Mike

An excellent AH member right here! I had a fantastic transaction with Hornedfrogbbq (I was the seller). His communication was first rate, payment was extremely fast, and I would have absolutely no reservations at all dealing with him again. Thank you, F!
Here we are, the last day of the show in Denver, it's been a good show but expecting a quiet day today. I will be back for-sure to do this show next year and maybe also do the one in Sacramento California.

On Monday I will be hitting the road driving from Denver and eventually make it down to Atlanta for the flight home.

its going to be a good year!

Hi Rem280, Saw your post on getting selected for Idaho Elk. Do you have a zone(s) selected? I live in N Idaho, might be able to offer some ideas.

Cheers,

Craig
