Mathews Vertix

Does anyone know if the vertix with the 75# mod would be buffalo legal?
It's a pretty safe bet.
Assuming Matthews didn't fudge the figures, at it's 343 IBO rating (30 inch draw, 350 grain arrow) it's getting over 90 foot/pounds of kinetic energy at a 70 pound draw. That's well over the 80 foot/pound minimum. So using the much heavier and more efficient arrows required for buff and adding those five pounds of draw weight will only give you more.

thanks for your reply bob , is it feasible to build a 444 on a P14/M17 , or is the no4 enfield easier to build? i know where i can buy a lothar walther barrel in 44, 1-38 twist , but i think with a barrel crown of .650" the profile is too light .
