My kids loved those thing, along with the cards and everything. #2 son has his son playing Pokémon. Want to annoy a kid around 5 or 6 who is into Pokémon, call them POKEY MAN

And the easiest way to get socialism or communism voted in is to accuse the other side of being fascists, or racists, or homophobes, etc. Say it often enough and loud enough it becomes true to the public. That comes right out of communist handbook. Lennon or Stalin I think. It's been a long, long time since I went to college, but there is a lot of what was said in the past that seems eerily familiar now.
