Lana wanted to skull mount her gemsbok since I already had one mounted and shot the cull oryx this summer and wanted to skull it.
She shot gemsbok with her crossbow and the oryx with her rifle.
She painted them from her trophy pics.
the gemsbok she wanted a more modern art type look, but wanted to feather the paint for the oryx.
Both were experiments. I made the plaques.

Excellent idea! The next gemsbok I took I was thinking of just a face mount, but now you’ve got me thinking again! I only have a small room with low ceilings and 3 shoulder mounts now...kudu, gemsbok and sable. All protrude way into the living space. Your ideas would help open it back up.
