They can't say the lion didn't warn them. I'm impressed the tourists listened and didn't run. Takes brass ones for the guide to stand his ground and not shoot. When I visited the Balule (these guys were part of the Pondoro lodge outside KNP), I did a walk about with our guide too. Fortunately no lion charges!
Good job to the guide but would the lion not have stopped the charge I dont think he was ready to shoot as they were moving backwards and his attention was not fully on the lion. But it worked out well and it is unbelievale that non of the tourists ran. That does not happen often! LOL
Business is the only way to fly. I'm headed to SA August 25. I'm hoping that business isn't an arm and a leg. If you don't mind, what airline and the cost for your trip. Mine will be convoluted. I'll be flying into the states to pick up my 416 Rigby as Thailand doesn't allow firearms (pay no attention to the daily shootings and killings) so I'll have 2 very long trips.
