Hi all! I have grown up hunting moose in the Southeast Finland, but years after years It started to feel pretty boring. I have lurked this forum for years but after my first trip to RSA in March/April I decided to join. That firs trip was pretty unplanned thing and it was a dark cold Finnish monday morning in February, when I was at the work and I just decided that now it's time to go to Africa. After 30mins I had booked the hunting safari and the flights. Hunting in Eastern Cape was such a great experience that now I'm just planning my next trip and try to save some money for that.

Welcome on board Finse!

I am glad to hear that you made your way across the pond - please post some pictures and a short write up when you have the time, a impromptu hunt like this is sure to be good :)
I'll be sure to read every post regarding your Moose hunts and other hunting endeavors.

Regards!

Welcome, and congrats on booking! Hoping everything goes great

Hi Finse, I have worked with some great people from Finland during international missions. Will be making my first trip to S.A. in about six weeks. Hope you like it here as much as most of us do. May you have many more good hunts in Africa and elsewhere!!!

Thank you guys. I'm definitely going back in to same place as earlier 2 hours from East London. There are still plenty of animals to hunt and at this moment I'm thinking that I'd like to hunt Vaal rhebok, Steenbok, Bushbuck and Blue duiker. On that earlier hunt I got Black wildebeest, Zebra, Common Duiker and Mountain reedbuck. That Mnt reedbuck hunt was great and it took some work to do. Up and down the hillsides and we could'n get any closer than 500 meters. After 4 hours of stalking and walking we got ourselves on the hilltop and the pack was upwind from us at 70 meters. 17 Females and a ram. I shoot the ram and it was a nice 7". After that I felt that it's more fun to hunt those little antelopes than bigger sized animals.

As a native Finnish speaker I have some difficulties to produce English text so It would take a week from me to write a full story...

See you are from Denmark - see quite a few Danes where I stalk in Scotland - great hunters.
The Harkilia stuff works well in Africa - I have a bit for use here in UK.
I am again looking for 600 Nitro dies preferably RCBS 1 inch. The set I purchased previously are 1 1/2 inch and do not fit my die. Another member has graciously taken them off my hands. If anyone happens to have a set of 600 Nitro Dies that will fit my Rockchucker Supreme RCBS press, please shoot me a message and thanks in advance for any assistance you may have to offer!
I have not posted any items for sale on this forum and will not every put anything for sale. My account was hacked and I've worked with the admin to get things shut down.
