Welcome to AHF Emkull. That photo looks like you're from the westcoast. Any idea what you want to hunt and where in Africa?

Yes that picture is from the west coast that one almost smacked me in the face before I seen it was a little thick..
We are thinking about starting with plains game and from what I have researched so far thinking somewhere in south Africa

Welcome! Certainly glad to have you here with the rest of us! Any particular animal(s) you are wanting to hunt in Africa?

Kudu/gemsbok/sable/lechwe/impala at some point just in the process of figuring out what takes priority and where to start

Those are all great choices. I believe kudu hunting, for the money, is a wonderful hunt, can be very challenging. However it works out, I truly hope you have a wonderful experience!

BC was a great hunting region, just OK now and getting much smaller annually. If the current deal of the north goes thru it will be much smaller for residents.

Good time to branch out, Africa gets in your blood, heart and soul. Literally seeing a BC lifetime of animals daily is amazing.

Welcome to the disease. Go on a safari, and enjoy life. Just remember there is never just one safari.

Perfect I may have a few questions for you on getting any animals back to Canada once I get the outfitter booked. Thanks

I and my sons have tried a few different Taxidermist with poor result. For years now we have used Bullseye Taxidermy. They are excellent in craftsmanship, artistic presentation and service including shipping. As far as I know, their prices are good too.

We don't get any Taxidermy work done any more, we save that money for huntin', Brian

Here's a photo of Tony receiving that Shaw & Hunter award at the 1970 annual EAPHA Dinner Dance. Tony Dyer, then EAPHA President and Princess (Sunny) von Auersperg presented it. I also attended the event.

Good Afternoon,
How firm are you on your Dakota 416? I am highly interested but looking at a few different guns currently.

Best,
BJ
