Headed to South Africa in Less than a Week... Ebola Concerns?

Sorry 3rd country to stop Ebola : Congo ,Nigeria an now Senegal

He also used to be................a community organizer.

No wonder Obama hired him, he came from the same background, perhaps even the same Chicago Mafia

News 24 QUOTE
".... Close attention is being paid to how Nigeria, with an under-funded and ill-equipped health system, managed to contain the virus, as specialists look for a more effective response to control its spread."

Two possible benefits of the ebola out break for Americans.

1. American hospitals are pretty lax when it comes to infection control. A number of people die every year from infections they pick up in the hospital. (A 35 year old relative of mine died this year from mrsa he picked up at a hospital.)

American hospitals will probably do a better job of keeping the hospitals clean and infections down. Thus saving lives.

2. Americans will start learning the geography of Africa. As ebola spreads, their knowledge will expand as well. In a year some Americans may be able to pass a sixth grade geography text.

All the best.

Yeah its amazing how many people thing Africa is a country!!

I had a guy with a college education ask me "So are these all States within Africa or are they actually different countries?"

My wife's family, who are intelligent and educated.... Are expressing all kinds of concern over our trip to the Limpopo/Kruger area.... My wife explained that the infected areas in Africa are 9000 kilometers away from there... And where we live in Minnesota is only about 1000 miles from Dallas!! We live closer to actual Ebola cases than where we are traveling to in Africa!!!

From the talk I hear, many people from the USA will not make their first trip to Africa because of this, not wareented but it is what it is.... and I think a few veterans will hold off returning as well......

It has me wondering what will happen to those crazy high priced auction game animals?

I think cool heads will prevail in the end, but there could be some pain in the middle.

Yep, I wonder will happen too.
Anyone with 2 gray cells to rub together will ignore the fear mongering and cash in on the lower prices. My $0.02 and I will be taking advantage or fearful idiots.

I am heading to South Africa on business in January and again to hunt in May. Most likely the only way I am not going is if there is a travel ban.

Hey my friend, I am returning to SA for a Cape Buffalo hunt in June 26. My outfitter has suggested Highveld but I have read some poor reports. Wondering how satisfied you were with your mounts from them? Thanks in advance.
