Welcome to AH

Have always wanted to see Africa and pursue a few of the plains animals. Starting to put things together and hope to tap into the collective knowledge that abides here.
Wrong side of 60, but make up for age with enthusiasm.

Welcome to AH sir. You came to the tight place

Welcome to AH! Lots of great folks here.

Welcome to AH, a ton of great people.

Welcome, never too late to start the journey.

Welcome to AH! If you could arrange to send some of that sogginess to northern Arizona, we'd be deeply indebted to you.

Welcome to AH!

Welcome to AH Cohle! You found an incredible resource.

Welcome to AH !

Don´t worry about your age, some of us around here are getting closer to 70

Age is just a number. Contact us for the finest, old style free range plains game hunting in Namibia. Have a look at our web site or send an email for more information.

Welcome Cohle! Enjoy the site!

Welcome aboard Cohle. Check out the demographics or profile of Americans hunting in Africa. It may surprise you. If you hurry you can still plan for a 2019 hunt. If you need a little more time 2020 is not bad either. Since the current season is underway reading the reports and seeing photos of what other AH members are taking will be a great help to you. I would suggest that you use an outfitter that is on AH. Those guys know what AH members expect and deliver it. Their clients vet them on these pages daily. Another thing, if you are going to hunt South Africa use http://www.riflepermits.com/ to help you get your firearms into and out of the country. While not absolutely necessary doing so will let you sleep a little better. Having a rifle stuck in Customs / SAPS is a glitch you don't need. Please tell us a little more about you previous hunting experiences. What kind and caliber rifles do you own? Do you reload? What species are you planning to hunt in Africa?

Welcome to AH Cohle! We look forward to you sharing your stories!

I'm unfortunately on a diet. Presently in VA hospital as Agent Orange finally caught up with me. Cancer and I no longer can speak. If all goes well I'll be out of here and back home in Thailand by end of July. Tough road but I'm a tough old guy. I'll make it that hunt.

Nice one there. I guided for mulies and elk for about 10 or so years in northern New Mexico.

Business is the only way to fly. I'm headed to SA August 25. I'm hoping that business isn't an arm and a leg. If you don't mind, what airline and the cost for your trip. Mine will be convoluted. I'll be flying into the states to pick up my 416 Rigby as Thailand doesn't allow firearms (pay no attention to the daily shootings and killings) so I'll have 2 very long trips.
