Hi everyone. I have been browsing this site for sometime and thought it was time to introduce myself. I am from Michigan and have hunted Michigan, Wisconsin, and Wyoming. I am also a part time gunsmith. I am planing on a photo safari to Tanzania this fall and a hunting safari to Namibia in 2017 after I retire. If anyone knows a good tour guide in Tanzania send me a message. Thanks for such a great site and good bunch of guys.

It's a good day to be inside looking at a computer screen surfing the web.

Welcome to AH.

Can't say I have a Photo Safari operator I can suggest.
Christophe might be able to help you out if he is not on his way to CAR.

Welcome to AH, Sandyridge !

Welcome to AH, Sandyridge!

Greetings Sandyridge and welcome!

Yes it is a good day inside. 3 degrees with the snow blowing sideways. Chat with my daughter in Tanzania today 110 degrees differance between my wind chill and her heat index. Looking at all the African pictures and dreaming.

Where in Tanzania does your daughter live?

She lives on the northside of Dar Es Salaam. She works at a school there.

At 110F I figured she lived somewhere along the costal plain. You should be commended for raising a daughter with a heart to serve.

Welcome to AH Sandyridge! Talking to my cousin in Clio area their pushing snow drifts today with her Son's 4x4 delivering mail. Enjoy the site and the planning of your trip.

Welcome to AH. 2017 is a long wait especially after you get your appetite wet in Tanzania!!!

Welcome to the forum.

Welcome to the site! The right guy for your safari is undoubtedly Johann Lombard from Johann Lombard Safaris. I include his website address for your perusal. johann lombard safaris | Home

He specializes in photographic tours and guided tours tracking dangerous animals like the Big 5 on foot. He knows Tanzania better than what I know the pattern on my hand.

When making contact you can use my name and say I referred you. He might give you some discount!

All the best in your planning.

Regards,

I'm unfortunately on a diet. Presently in VA hospital as Agent Orange finally caught up with me. Cancer and I no longer can speak. If all goes well I'll be out of here and back home in Thailand by end of July. Tough road but I'm a tough old guy. I'll make it that hunt.

Nice one there. I guided for mulies and elk for about 10 or so years in northern New Mexico.

Business is the only way to fly. I'm headed to SA August 25. I'm hoping that business isn't an arm and a leg. If you don't mind, what airline and the cost for your trip. Mine will be convoluted. I'll be flying into the states to pick up my 416 Rigby as Thailand doesn't allow firearms (pay no attention to the daily shootings and killings) so I'll have 2 very long trips.
