I like the heavy duplex myself. I have it in several scopes. I used a 1.75-6x Leupold, with that reticle, set at 3x and never moved it, on several heads of PG in Zim at rages up to 180 yds (Impala).
IMO, I think you’ll be better off putting the money into a new scope, rather that modifying this one. Just sell the 3x to help offset the cost of a new scope.
