Double rifle case reloading accessories

I just purchased a 577 3” bpe and I would like to make a case and have in said case reloading tools like they use to put in high end double rifle cases. I would also like the tools to be functional so I can use them at the range. I’ll attach a photo of what I mean and you guys can tell me what I will need.

Then you are the man I hope to get info from. I want to have tools or find the reloading tools like this for loading by hand at the range is that possible sir? Also apologies for the photo I was the only one I could find that showed tools. Is that a possible venture for loading the 577 “3 bpe?

You can find the tools but they are very scarce. If fact, dealers in vintage tools usually have anything they come to already spoken for--they don't even make the market as collectors buy them sight unseen. The case tools above is for my Manton .577 3" which is for sale. I have the mould, crimper (called a fixer) neck expander, neck inside ream, powder measure, and the mould has the hollow point pin. I sold the rifle two years ago but the fella could not make payments so I had to cancel the sale. I will list it again shortly but have a couple of mildy interested gents looking now.

Ah I see. Think it would be possible to have tools specially made? I mean for under like $500?

For 500$ each, I doubt it. Of course it depends on the tool. Moulds are 1000$ prine and deprime tools, fixers, etc. are close to that.

I have lots of old tools and have used them but it takes such a long time I use them for display and use modern dies, etc, for my reloading.

Probably best choice. If you develop something you may have a market out there.

Tools for the case are decoration, they are not for actual use at the range. As Cal pointed out, each tool for a mega-large bore is going to be $500 or more, usually made by Dixson <sp?>.

But first things first, you need the proper case, then you can spend a decade filling it with all the practical and reasonable tools one would expect to see in such a case.

Do you own the case already? If not, what’s the barrel length and barrel width at the breach and the muzzle? Is it hammerless or hammer?

I'm not sure they make anything that big but might be worth asking.

I’ll be looking around. I do have a case it’s a canvas case with leather straps that I got from Cablea’s years ago. I’m going to try it and if I like it I will have one specially made.

@Ward12constable it sounded like you owned a valuable antique gun? Did I misunderstand?

a new case adds nothing to an antique gun. Not even if it’s a $5000 Huey case.

If a vintage gun, then you buy a vintage case from that era for $800-$3000. Then you evaluate what tools are missing and you spend years trying to fill the vacant holes with vintage tools that are correct.

Naturally, nobody uses the case nor tools as they are too valuable to damage, but this is what goes with a vintage collectible gun.
