So.... this happened very quickly and in a matter of days I have purchased my first true classic Austrian Double....

I am like a little school boy just waiting for the license approval from CFR and then I will be using my new (my wife reminds me that it was not a needed item, but rather a wanted..... I am of the opinion that since when did I need it to buy it... :) ) double...

Needless to say I simply lost my heart when I saw/held and shot this firearm for the first time... it spoke to me in a :alien: like voice, and I had to have it, hence I thought I should share it with my AH mates....

My best always..

Congratulations ! I am owning 2 weapons from the factory of Franz Sodia, a single barrel ( octogonal) in 7mmRM with a second barrel in .243 and an over/under in 16/70 and 7x57R. You wrote in the other thread about "side lock Action" -but this double has box-lock ( System Anson, what I can see - not the common "Blitz", often used from Ferlach gunmakers ). The factory is already history, but there are many used hunting arms on the market here in Austria ....

On closer at the store I did notice it was a box lock, all the well I made contact with the Sodia in Germany and they were very helpfull and had good info on this firearm, so did a good friend of mine in Dallas a double collector....

Let me know if you wanted to let go of one of your Sodia's at one stage...

My best always
