For anyone wondering about the status of Dakota arms, I stumbled on the following forum post:
Is Dakota Arms still in business?
Which led me to understand that Dakota Arms is essentially now Parkwest Arms and will be building the same rifles.
Parkwest Arms
I cannot verify this, but it is an interesting development.

I hope it does! I need more used models of the 76 Safari on the market so I can snag one for a sub $4.5k price...I wonder if they have ever sold as low as $3500...?
I’m not sure honestly. Personally I’ve seen some 375s around 4000-4500. But not lately

Your screen name is appropriate for my situation haha. I am a wishful thinker in this case. I guess I'll probably keep looking for a Kimber Caprivi or Model 70.

I wouldn’t mind having a Caprivi myself. I’ve never owned one but it seems like the majority of people that have love them

I saw that rifle on GB. How is this a Sendero? The Sendero was a heavy barreled aluminum block bedded action. That barrel didn’t seem to have a heavy contour.
Honestly I’m not sure. I don’t know much about Remington rifles. I just hate to see these manufacturers go away or get sold and restructured. I hope Parkwest Arms is successful with each brand and builds a quality firearm without changing things up too much.

I’m pretty sure that rifle is very overpriced compared to the old Remington prices but I like the Bell and Carlson stock on it. Maybe that feature will be standard

Hey, I'm new on here but I wanted to give you an update. Parkwest is in the process of fully opening and will be building the same models as the Dakota, but just under a new name. They are no longer owned by or affiliated with Remington. The website is in the process of getting up and running and they have a new number. 605-702-0060.

You might have edited your post on the PH in the Bubye. I know the PH and is a wonderful person and a fmaily man and runs a succesful business in Zim and just doesn't want the attention that the internet offers, the ugly kind.

Hello,

Am I reading your post correctly to say that the Tsavo rifle will be coming out with a composite stock later this year? I ask because I had been looking very hard for a Tsavo, but if there is going to be a composite stock model I will wait for that.

Thank you for your time,

Andrew

Saw your post. Nice. Denver too. Genesee area (just off 70) if ever up this way. Alternatively, do you have a membership at GGC? Whatever, you'll have a wonderful time in Africa. Enjoy.
