I see the comments about CZ upgrades, so thought to pass along some recent information for the folks here.
Tim finally got his custom parts endeavour tooled up and has re-started his CZ upgrade offerings. He hated to pause the gunsmithing but he just had no time on the machining end and was not doing justice to either one.
He has been "smithing" rifles on a case by case basis such as an interesting LR rifle, a 416 Cheytac built on one his CZ actions with the quarter rib kit (I supported the cartridge end of things) and I got to see a nice pair of ParkWest Arms actions barrel with his integral barrels.
He has a few CZ actions left for a custom build and with the quarter rib kit upgrade and his latest engraving option, could be the time for a nice DGR.
Steve

PS
Not sure this is my cup of tea but on a CZ build, maybe:) (gnarly looking old buff!

Just curious about Tim’s “quarter rib kit” for the CZ 550s. Any pics of what that upgrade looks like? Even in the white?

Good to hear Matrix is back in the CZ upgrade game.

do not mind the packaging, as he made this up for the last DSC show:)

I should note this is best with a new barrel (same CZ contour) as he is still working on machining off the CZ factory rear sight base.

Very nice. Thanks for the pics!

Yeah, I prefer the longer/full q-r express sight over the abbreviated “island”-type rear sight such as NECG offers. The full q-r is much more in keeping with the traditional lines of the old-school African rifles of the early 20th Century - ala the Rigbys, Jefferys, etc.

Good to hear they are back up going on the gunsmithing side of things. I passed on what i thought was a great deal on a bone stock CZ in .416 Rigby for fear of not having any alternatives to get it built up and upgraded like it would need to be.

Perfect timing for me, I need to tune up my bone stock cz550 in 375.

I have been using a "Personal Property" rider on my State Farm homeowner's policy to cover guns when I travel with them.
I have several firearms, but only one is worth over $20K (A Heym double rifle).
Very interested.
Would firearms be covered for damage, as well as, complete loss?
I'll can let the State Farm rider cover my watches...
