First, let me say that I'm far from a beer efficiatato or even much of a consumer for that matter. But, it was affirmed on my last trip 'over' that the beer I like best on the planet is Castle Lite in the bottle. Smooth, light, refreshing, delightful stuff. All that to say, that I have one beer left and will need to replenish my supply and wonder if someone could provide insight to the closet thing to Castle Lite available in the states?

Gracias and have a wonderful day!

I’ve read somewhere that you can purchase castle lite in Florida

Hey Lee,

Castle Lite, to me, is very similar to my go-to beer here in the states, Keystone Light. Just as you described, light, refreshing, delightful stuff, and it's super cheap! haha

For that same kind of taste with a little more flavor my go-to is Grolsch in the swing top bottle..

Hey Ross!

Keystone Light! Man, it has been a long time since I have even thought of that beer. I will give it a try, again as well as the Grolsch. I have never heard of Grolsch, but I'm game to give it a whirl.

Keystone Light is Great, Cheap Swill
I just wish they still made Pigs Eye

I won't keep a light beer in the house - I don't care on what continent it was created. Not even for a guest - consider a responsibility to protect them from the swill. Never could get the point. Now a cold full bodied lager, maybe a really sharp pilsner, in the UK a pint of bitters, and of course here in Texas, a Negra Modela. Real beer! :D Beer Bottle:

Drinking Lite Beer is like kissing your own Sister. You don't get much kick out of it!!!
That might depend on how hot your sister is..................

There are light beers and lite beers....some are low alcohol and some are still 4%..most normal are 5%....castle lite is 4%....so those types not much less alcohol..but less of the carbohydrates. .sugars. ...so in theory less fattening that other beers ...;):D windhoek normal lager is 4%....so slight variations even in normal.standard produced beers/lagers.....UK real.ale some will make you fall over after couple of pints.....watched a friend try a pint of one with colourful name and he was cooked after it....:ROFLMAO:

I've been a Budweiser guy forever. The last several years, I have found it annoying when ordering a Bud, a frequent response is "We have Bud Light!" To which I usually reply, "No, I want a Bud regular."

A Corona or Corona Light are my back up beer. Recently I tried a Yuengling, a very old beer company from Pennsylvania that has expanded their territory to the deep South. Both the regular lager and the Light are quite good.

If all else fails, I follow these guidelines for my "Favorite:"

3. Cold beer
2. Free beer
1. Cold, Free beer

How about Busch or Busch Lite? Good summertime drink, especially after yard work.

You sound like me wishing for a XXXX from Australia. There is little chance of any and if you did find it then it would likely be old and taste bad. Some flavors are only found where they are.

Nothing better than a Cold Corona or a Pacifico, unless I could get my hands on a Windhoek

Castle Lite has a bitter taste, much like most German beer that comes in a green bottle. Something similar would be Amstell Light, or Heineken Light.

A normal Castle for me, thanks....

Or a Carling Black Label

May be Americanese, but I’ve never heard it called flip top anywhere.. haha

Either terms describe the bottle pretty well I guess..

Jerome, do you think my last post in rough camping must maybe shift as an article?

Good afternoon,

I'm trying to get in contact with Mr Butch Searcy. I have the opportunity to buy one of his rifles chambered in 577 nitro Express however the seller does not have any of the paperwork with the information about what ammunition or bullet weight was used to regulate it. I know he is not making firearms anymore but I wanted to reach out after seeing one of your post about him.

Hi - the only (best) method of sending you the .375/06IMP data is with photographing my book notes. My camera died so the only way I can do it is with my phone. To do that, I would need your e-mail address, as this
new Android phone is too complicated to upload to my desk computer, which would be easier and to down-grade, reduce the file sizes.
Best wishes
Daryl
