Can't watch the show from Kosovo, but did attend his seminar at DSC last year. Very impressive from my point of view. He will be in DSC again next week, if I'm not mistaken. Hope to attend his seminar, regardless of the subject matter.

Somebody asked Ivan a similar question on FB and the answer was that it was U.S. only for now, but that things were being worked. Maybe it will end up on Youtube?

    Set to record.(y)

Will be interesting to watch. Previews seem to be similar to Shockey's new show "Uncharted". Completely different type of programing to the wackem and stackem shows.

Hopefully these new shows will help to get the message out. Are they mainstream enough to go Nat Geo/Discovery?

I think that is the hope at least. I saw the same lecture last year at DSC that @sierraone did and that was what Ivan talked about, the desire to take this show main stream.

Just finished watching the first episode, good show. Emphasis was on rhino and the poaching in Kruger Park.

I have only seen the trailer but I think what Ivan Carter tries to do here is extremely important, foremost to show the world how bad poaching has become AND teach the world the difference between poaching and legal hunting and showing the world that legal hunting really is conservation..

I hope his programs will hammer into people these simple facts and I believe/hope that Carter is the right man to do it.....because he is both balanced and straight to the point.

I really hope that this series end up on National Geograhip/Discovery etc. because the World really needs to be educated on these matters..

Will these programs be available on DVD...? Anyone..??

Saw the last 15 minutes of the show live. I will have to go back and watch the recording of the entire thing. The part I saw was good.

As a side note I found it interesting that the area where they darted the rhino looked way over grazed and deforested. It has been along time since I was in Kruger and I certainly haven't been close to seeing the entire park. The Kruger that I remember was lowvield brush, interspersed with mature trees. Have there always been areas of Kruger that looked like the area where the rhino was darted or is this due to the elephant population?

Pondoro, not sure about the DVD's but here is Carter's website with his facebook info. You might want to contact him through one of these avenues.

Watched the show and the focus was definitely on the poaching and the need for conservation in general. If anyone is expecting a "why hunting is important" message you will be sorely disappointed. The only mention of hunting that I recall was Ivan saying, "I'm a hunter, conservationist, and wildlife investigator" at the beginning of the show.

Personally, I think this is the right course for the show. The idea here is to bring more awareness to African wildlife and poaching. I also think that the rhino was a great first animal to use. I'm also glad that the show is a full hour as it took that long to get the message across.

Here is to the shows success and hoping that it continues to delve deeper in upcoming episodes! We need this to go mainstream and end up on more than just the outdoor channel!

So folks, on the outdoor channel page for the show there is a feedback link. It is in the bottom right corner of the picture on the page I've linked below.

    http://www.outdoorchannel.com/show.aspx?show-id=33240

If you like the show take a minute and let the folks at the outdoor channel know. We need all of the help and positive publicity we can get right now.

Saw the show myself and found it very interesting! Good job Mr. Carter. Hope you can get your show seen by even more people!

Wheels I can tell you that having just been In The Greater Kruger area to hunt my elephant the whole place looks parched and over grazed! Too many elephant destroying the trees! Drought is taking a heavy toll in the there. It's not a place where a guy could make a living mowing grass.....that's for sure!

    So I'll be contrarian.

Am I the only one who thought it was way, way over-dramatized? Not trying to be offensive - the subject matter - rhino poaching - was important - but Ivan's tone, the words, the sound - all a bit over the top for me.

As well, I would have appreciated something - anything - about how hunting - even rhinos - can be good for conservation. My daughter watched the show with me and other than agreeing with I me about the tone, she told me in no uncertain terms that she would be very unhappy with me if I hunted a rhino. I told her no fear - after paying her university tuition I have no money left for rhino hunting.

Hopefully we will get some of that in future shows.

thanks hank for the feedback , i am sorry if you found it over dramatic -

regarding hunting i think that the very much more subtle approach is very important here as we seek to get more and more non hunters to watch , the fact that i say multiple times i am a hunter and conservationist will in fact i believe carry the message that hunters can do a lot of good , i have been doing multiple radio interviews , as well as attending several "non hunting" television functions , in fact this weekend i will be in LA at a TV critics association press conference and i can assure you those critics and reporters are looking to bring up hunting and i will have ample opportunity to point out the good hunters do - here is an article from hollywood , i can assure you the word hunter in hollywood is not often associated with such a positive article .. http://thehollywoodtimes.net/2015/12/28/carters-w-a-r-on-the-outdoor-channel/

thank you so much for your comment i appreciate you taking the time -
    kind regards
