Anyone know how to measure “smack factor”

Tissue damage is tissue damage it’s how big game dies. Round nose or not…

I like the way this works out
Weight × Velocity × Diameter divided by 7000
= smack factor

Disrupting the heart or even EXPLODING it has nothing has nothing to do with dropping an animal. The only way to drop an animal is to disrupt the CNS.

Sorry my friend the fudd is extremely strong in you. Once again you choose to miss understand what is written. The Facts I referred to are the results of people shooting using the flat nosed and or round nose bullet. Seems you cannot understand this. I do not know why.

Re the CNS, there are different ways to effect this, like loss of blood. What I wrote about the heart and a pressure wave to the brain has been expounded by people far more versed in animal anatomy and how things work than me and obviously you.

It is clear to me you have very little idea, knowledge or experience in the real world. By the way "EXPLODING" the heart disrupts the CNS and I never mentioned anything about exploding hearts. If heart cannot pump blood then the brain ceases to function and the animals dies. Fairly simple biology. But you probably know better.

If you want to mount a reasonable argument, then try staying with what is said and don't put words into others mouths so to speak. You may also like to take note of punctuation marks like ?. Would indicate a question not a statement.

Last pig I shot was corn holed with a 168 gn 308 z-max (try and run away and see what happens) , dropped on the spot at 70-80yards

Pretty common for finishing shots at PB range not to exit.

The bullet is hitting at full muzzle velocity and can over expand like yours did. That much expansion creates a ton of drag and can almost “parachute” the bullet.

You’re probably more likely to get an exit at 200 yards than at 3 feet because there’s less stress on the projectile.

I seem to recall that: some older American hunters, occasionally used their ‘squib’ loads for finishing shots i.e., head shots at close quarters.
