X3 for Cabelas. I have the ones like the bino buddy. I am thinking of getting one that holds them in a pouch with a flap though. My son in law has one and I like it. I am too cheap to want to ruin my Zeiss binos in the brush etc
I have the KUIU and love it! I have used mine for 4 years now and consider it one of my best pieces of gear after my boots. Horseback, crawling, running... No problem.
Not familiar with the FHF.
Here's a link to the kuiu http://store.kuiu.com/bino-harness-p/80010.htm
I had a Cabela's but gave them to Loodt at Tootabi because he needed them! I like that they are simple, light weight, and their claim to fame.. The elastic is on the down side not the top... So they don't bounce. Had them on my Swaro CL 8x32 binos. The bad is that I have to use the standard covers and they seem ot be mostly open and leaving the glass exposed.
We have a bigger harnesses for our 10x42's. They have covers that are easy to wrap up over the binos and a little bungi cord that holds them in tight. I like that they are covered and easily accessible... But they are hot to wear.
I'm going to look at the Kuiu or go back to another Cabela's.
Here are some pics of the S4 that is too hot to wear in warm weather. But they have the nice cover.
I bought one from Kuiu for my 10x42 Swarovski binos. If you want a a holder that does not allow binos to bounce when running or drag when crawling this is the one you want.
Also protects your binos while being very accessible.
Always the weirdo, I tried a harness type (Zeiss version) but gave it away and went back to the old fashioned (probably 1800's technology?) shoulder strap style.
Not for nostalgia but, because I did not like the way said harness encouraged my shirt to bunch upward into my armpits, repeatedly during long walk hunting days.
Likewise, it seemed to "fight back" when I was trying to look through my binos for extended periods.
I know it is my fault but now and then I managed to bump my rifle with my binos when wearing the harness.
Conversely, this does not seem to happen when I carry binoculars on an old fashioned over the shoulder strap.
My shoulder strap came with my binos and it works perfectly for my needs.
Thanks for the suggestions. Not sure which one I want to try yet, but I am tired of having them hang from my neck, swinging around, and hanging down every time I bend over. I like the looks of the S4 and the FHF.
Made it to Augusta Georgia yesterday for a meeting, hunt bookings are looking good for 2026 and 2027, had a great time on our Alabama safari shot a rutting deer at 200 yards with 7mm PRC near Huntsville and then headed on to Butler Alabama and semi guided my first deer ever shot a very nice broken off 8 point with hunter there and spend a few days on 1100 acres hunting preserve awesome place!
I am righthanded, so not interested in the rifle, but I have a 375 RUM and 350 gr bullet loading data is very hard to come by. If you could reply with information regarding your loads I would greatly appreciate it. Thank you, Ray Boone, Leavenworth, WA
Hello - I was looking at your post from several years ago regarding the Winchester 300 H&H. Any chance you still have the lefty M70 300 H&H for sale?
Thank you, Mike
An excellent AH member right here! I had a fantastic transaction with Hornedfrogbbq (I was the seller). His communication was first rate, payment was extremely fast, and I would have absolutely no reservations at all dealing with him again. Thank you, F!
