Hunting reports
Africa

It's March 3rd, 2020 and I am getting restless. I have told myself that I wouldn't hunt Africa this year. One reason is, I have a huge crate headed my way with two Safaris worth of animals inside. Another reason is, I somewhat foolishly spent some of what would have been my safari money on a gun/guns.
Now there's a bright side to all of this. And that bright side is the fact that guns can be sold, and taxidermy can be put on hold, once the skins and horns arrive.
Africa is calling very loudly. Not sure I can tell her no.
For those of you that read my hunt report BUFFALO RODEO IN THE KALAHARI, you know that I have a vendetta to settle with a Cape Buffalo.
And what better place to settle that score than the Kalahari?
So with that said, I'm contemplating another Safari at Reitzdale again. Cape Buffalo, Lioness, and a mixed bag of PG.
Starting to feel the excitement. To go, or not to go in 2020 is the question. If I do choose to go, there might be some rifles for sale. Stay tuned.

I like where this is headed!

To go or not to go, that is the question. Whether 'tis nobler in the mind to suffer the stings and pangs of egregious disappointment, or to take arms against a sea of buffalo and by pulling the trigger, bag one...

Or something like that anyway.

toby I don't think you have enough hair on your uh uh knuckles to attempt another hunt so soon,So what do you say to THAT?????

Go for it buddy! I am. I’ve been going to bed with my buffalo debacle for 5 years and said to hell with it and booked September for buffalo.

Are you asking us if you need to go or telling us you are going!
I think youy already made up your mind, enjoy it that lioness is going to get the adrenaline pumping overboard.

I knew Toby would go. Revenge is a powerful motivator.

Well, the flight looks fairly cheap that time of year, so the decision is getting easier. I'm thinking 8 days hunting should be sufficient. Leave on August 27, arrive back in Atlanta on Labor day, Sept. 7. Only need to take 6 days off from work, seeing that labor day is already a Holiday. Starting to be hard to resist!

well I knew it! Toby’s fire sale on Guns will start up pretty soon. You already sold the Ruger I wanted so what do you have interesting. There is a fine offer out there for buffalo and elephant that I copied you on a coup,ex of days ago.

Who are you going to hunt with this time? Love Reitzdale. Good luck!

Lets see go or go!

I'm hunting directly through Seun. No middle man this time. I am however looking for somebody to take the trip with me. I can arrange a great deal for anyone who wants to come along.

Ugh! Too late for me! I’m already booked 10 days in Namibia and 10 days in Limpopo! Got to start saving up for a long stay on my 75th birthday!
The “shoulder” seasons can save a lot on airfare IME!
Can’t wait to read another excellent report!

I'm about ready to pull the trigger on another rifle but would love to see your rifle first, any way you could forward a pic or two?
Thanks,

Love your rifle! I'm needing a heavier rifle for Africa. Sold my .375 Dakota Safari several trips ago. Would you have any interest in a trade of some sort involving the custom 338/06 I have listed here on the site ( I have some room on my asking price. I also have a large quantity of the reloading components and new Redding dies as well as a box of A-Square Dead Tough ammo.
