The Labor Government shows its extremist anti-gun agenda by attack on reloading. A Bill titled "Combatting-Antisemitism-Hate-and-Extremism-Bill-2026" contains some of the most punitive proposals anywhere in the world, (including Russia and Iran). Although suposedly about Hate speech and Extremism, approx 60% of the Bill concerns further restrictions and penalties on lawful shooters. The Bill is some 144 pages of detailed legislative amendments. Clearly this wasn't put together in response to the Bondi shooting. This has been put together by zealots within Government just waiting for the oportunity. The legislative head of power relied on is the telecommunictaions power which allows the Federal Government to make laws in relation to telecomunictions.

Schedule 4 Part 7 of the Bill is off particular impact in that it creates offences for on-line publishing, accessing, using or storing of relaoding data or information about ammunition components. Likewise it also criminalising on-line information about manufacture or modification of firearms. (That would even include maintanence intructions, how to fix stuff, competition tuning etc.) Looking at 5 years jail.

It will be an open question what impact the Bill would have on overseas companies that publish their load data on the internet in a manner accessible in Australia.

This would also mean viewing this website is an offense. - Unbelievable ,

Aussies are totally pissed off! There was no opportunity to do anything about it. The only part of the new legislation that I agreed with is the banning of "belt-fed shotguns". This epitomises the level of understanding of firearms by those drafting the laws. There was a complete lack of consultation with the people that the ill-considered, rushed, ridiculous, despicable laws will affect. There must be a bigger agenda behind this. It is simply a diversionary tactic by the Socialist Labor government and our poor excuse for a Prime Minister. Because the Muslim Terrorist used a Berretta BRX1 straight-pull 308 at Bondi, they have recategorised straight-pull rifles into Cat C - inaccessible to recreational shooters. So my Blasers are threatened. But it's all about the guns! All of the BS from the government has not yet enunciated the Root Cause - Radical Islamic Terrorists. This is the same as saying that 9/11 was caused by passenger jets! FFS!
And if I have the temerity to handload ammunition I may spend 5 years in gaol! Many of the calibres I shoot simply do not have commercially available factory ammunition (in Australia).

The better question is are ausis pissed off about it enough to do anything?
That was my question. We certainly have our problems of this sort here but we also constantly battle them; but then we do have the 2A, at ;East for now.

I suspect your 'Roo critters are pretty happy.

Seems like thomas sewell is only dude who cares about aussies in ausi land.

They also want to limit the number of firearms you can legally have, which in itself is a debacle as antique collectibles don’t need to be registered but they want to control and limit them, they want to crush any excess that you have over their limits and restrict the sale of any excess that you do try to sell. I have a friend who potentially could loose several hundred thousand dollars if this occurs, me personally would loose up to $40,000 depending on if they pay a proper compensation for the losses. I’ve already made a few enquires about shipping a couple overseas
Gumpy

One is a tad difficult to arrange unless a miracle is involved. So, it’s the other option.
O ye of little faith.

Honestly tho as a representative of your wayward less criminally inclined colonial cousins. I recomend tossing your tea and politicians into sydney harbor. And maybe start investing in some pitchforks to run people out of town

I might have to dust off my enigma machine to decipher that.

Im sure your boy thomas can help with that.

But in case you didnt know. Once upon a time in america there were some folks sho didnt like their politicians. They snuck aboard a ship in boston and tossed the kings tea into the harbor.

Then we took some freedom seeds. And planted them in redcoats. And eventually they left us alone.
