Any pipe smokers?

Are any of you pipe smokers? If so what's your favorite pipe and what's your favorite blend? My favorite pipe is a Savinelli churchwarden and my favorite tobacco is McClelland Wilderness.
I have a couple dozen Savinelli's, about half of them are Rhodesian style, which I prefer. Do you smoke while hunting? I've been looking for a lightweight pipe that I can clench while bird hunting. The Savinelli's are just a bit too heavy for me to clench for very long.

When I was in Ontario a few years ago, I was absolutely blown away by the tax rate on tobacco products. The same cigar for $10 in the US is like $40 in Canada. Even with the snow peso conversion, that’s expensive.
I was in Ontario for what became a genuine cluster F**K of a moose hunt and even back then Copenhagen was $27 per can and all tobacco products were hidden behind a grey steel curtain of shame.

As for pipes, I prefer Peterson and their tins of tobacco.

The savinelli 321 is pretty short and light. Can burn a bit hot because of how small they are. Seems much lighter than the 673 ks. Stem is a bit fat , but easy enough to clench.

This is a vest pocket pipe, smaller you will find, but too uncomfortable for me

I occasionally enjoy smoking a pipe, I'm a cigar smoker, but a pipe smoke aroma brings back memories of my grandpa smoking a pipe and sitting next to him so I could enjoy the aroma. :D I don't have any fancy pipes, I don't really remember how I got the ones I have. I may have to pony up and get a real pipe like a Savinelli. :ROFLMAO:

Quit the Kool Filter Kings and the pipe in 1991, don’t miss the Kools, but sure miss the pipe. I smoked a lot of Prince Albert and an English mixture of flue cured, very smoky tobacco. My wife bought me this pipe for my birthday in 1998.

I’m a fan of Elliott Nachwalter pipes and L J Peretti Co. tobacco.

I will have to agree with @BourbonTrail. Plum pudding is great. I also like the Davidoff flake medallions.
I regretfully only have 1 pipe. A hand carved cherrywood lion pipe, from russia.
I had several others. But a sticky fingured stepson and some mary j became an issue. So i throwed them in the trash, but thats another story. Haha

:E Rofl: There's a couple of campfire stories on the subject of proper and improper blending of tobacco to mj smoked in pipes at work. It was noted as the unofficial original Don't Ask, Don't Tell policy.

Just came across this post, I’ve enjoyed pipe smoking for several years now(hence my profile name)I enjoy English blends primarily and have a decent collection of Peterson pipes, some Dunhills,Ser jacapos, and a few I’ve had commissioned by pipe makers, all though my favorites are my Micheal Buteras.

I see plenty of pipe smokers on the way to work everyday... Very energetic crowd.
I would prefer the Sherlock Holmes variety, myself.

How about sharing pictures of your pipes, especially the Peterson’s. :ROFLMAO: (y)

Hello,

Am I reading your post correctly to say that the Tsavo rifle will be coming out with a composite stock later this year? I ask because I had been looking very hard for a Tsavo, but if there is going to be a composite stock model I will wait for that.

Thank you for your time,

Andrew

Saw your post. Nice. Denver too. Genesee area (just off 70) if ever up this way. Alternatively, do you have a membership at GGC? Whatever, you'll have a wonderful time in Africa. Enjoy.
