Alcoholic???

yep theres something forboding , when hard working young people get a skin full of spirits , after bugger all sleep for days on end ,after been on a moving work platform
that really makes you sit back ,and think
WOW, maybe we shoulda just gone straight back to sea...
this used to happen 3or 4 times a year......
it was always a laugh ,but.......
and a headache trying to find the bloody lunatics the next day.....

then a couple of times one of the boys would turn up with a nubile young lady , and want to bring her back to sea with us , as her boyfriend/ and once her husband would be coming home from sea latter in the week
and after they sobered up from the night before ,thought she really come and live in our home port .for both their safety
lost two good young crew members to this incident, over the years........
as of course if l took the young lady on the boat , then IT becomes involved , and id hate to think of the trouble next time we used this same port .
it was always easier to sign a cheque at tell them to take a bus ,home, and id see them next week
and of course my most excellent ,wife would've skun me alive , if l had a young lady on the boat .......
that was number one rule , which was never needed to be explained twice......

some time when socialising with other skippers, we think we could write a book about things that happened to boats and crews in foreign ports ,and the trouble that seems to follow us out of the pubs , while there

LMFAO Bluey you should come fish crab in the Bering sea sometime!!

yeah its always funny a couple months of later
that why ive always said that D&D (drunk and disorderly) is a good thing , atleast I know where they will be in the morning .......
mate id love to a deadlist catch season , up there in the bearing sea.
im sure your skippers would have some funnies to swap ..........

at one stage my boat was known as tinkerbell,
l was peter pan
the crew where the lostboys
right through the south east trawl .....
the boat was like a magnet for the best of the best ,hardest working ,crew god ever put guts in
but once they were finished unloading and the maintance was done .
it was bedlam
as much fun as we all had , it wasn't the way to run the business.
still now they come and go , work there asses of ,save a pocket full of dough , and go on an adventure ,somewhere .
you don't hear from em for six months or so then when they run out of cion , they ring up and if theres a place for them they do it all overagain
man l could tell you some stories ........

Well, when you live as far north as AK you drink to survive....I used to live at 70 degrees north in Norway, know all about it..:D Drunk::D Booze:

So, the preacher's wife went to the gynecologist doctor.
Tests were run and the doctor tells her that she has a mild circulation and cholesterol problem.
Doc tells her that she should drink a glass of red wine each night before bedtime.
She replies "But, doc I'm a preacher's wife, I can't be buying red wine or drinking it."
She tells her that she must do this for her health.

Wife goes home and tells her husband.
She says "the doctor told me that I have to drink a glass of red wine every night before bedtime. I
told her I was a preacher's wife, but she demands that I must drink wine every night. What should
I do?"
Her husband replies, "Make me an appointment with your doctor."

True story. Old joke, also, but was played out in real life a couple years ago with my wife. lol.

People living out in Alaska's remote bush regions, refer to Vodka as "antifreeze".

Hopefully no kids look at this thread cuz I'm not technically savvy enough to change words, but I got this one today from a friend.

Just wanted to say thanks for the excellent customer service. Ordered some 9.3x62 brass and the delivery was a little short. An email through your website Contact Us link was replied to the next day with the tracking info for the correction. Good pricing coupled with great customer service will see returning customers every time. Thanks again!
