I wanted to post a reminder of a day 15 years ago in the United States of America where no one felt compelled to protest the flag or take a knee during the national anthem.

Not a day goes by where I don't remember the sacrifices made and the lives lost on that day. I lost 343 brothers that day, and every time I put on my uniform I remind myself that this could have been me.... It could have been my family who's lives were left shattered that day..... And for what? Some insane ideology....

There are many athlete millionaires who may take a knee today when our national anthem is played and the flag is displayed. Most of these players where no more than 10 years old when this photo was taken. I hope someone meaningful in their lives shows them this photo and educates them on a different perspective.

very well said.

my wife and i will never forget that day,we were at work in calif and everything came to a stand still as we watched on tv what was happening.

One of the most memorable photos of that time. Thanks for the post and for your service to your communtiy. Proud to be an American and live in this country. Thankful for so many that have come before me and made this country great and also served for this country. Proud to share this website with so many other like minded, red blooded, patriotic Americans

Here here.

Thank you for your service and the reminder.

Like the previous generation, my parents, remembering where they were December 7th I remember where I was September 11th. Never forget this cowardly act of murder and why we were attacked.
Thankful for the sacrifices made then and now for all who live in the land of the free. Proud to be an American! And I stand for our flag and anthem always!
Thank you to all our military service men and women, our police, firefighters and first responders who watch out for us all here in the states 24/7. God Bless America!

As a Kid I remember the day at the loading Docks when the conveyor stopped as they announced the JFK assasination so do I also remember a large Catering event I was working that was cancelled because all the flights were grounded and there was no one to serve

I'll never forget.

I doubt any of us will ever forget where we were on that day...

Thank you to all our military service men and women, our police, firefighters and first responders who watch out for us all here in the states 24/7. God Bless America!

My sentiment as well!

I watched it on TV as we woke up. There was that sinking feeling that the world had changed for ever. Always wondered what happened to tower 7 and the pentagon though.

Here's a photo of Tony receiving that Shaw & Hunter award at the 1970 annual EAPHA Dinner Dance. Tony Dyer, then EAPHA President and Princess (Sunny) von Auersperg presented it. I also attended the event.
