Tried 3 rounds from my MRC for my first test today at 100yds. Swift 300gr A-Frame 375 H&H factory load. Was trying to use a Magnetospeed chronograph while doing it, but with my muzzle brake it wouldn’t record. If it keeps this up, I think they did a good enough load in their factory loads.
Having the muzzlebrake removed to see how I can handle it. The recoil doesn’t concern me, but loading another round and getting back on the target is my concern. I’ve fired a Ruger in 416 Rigby, 338 Lapua and a CZ in 458 Lott without a problem with recoil, but it just took me forever to reload and get back on target!

If it'll repeat, no need to look further.

My 375 doesn't have a break and I can recover quickly. Far quicker that I can my 416 Rem with a muzzle brake.

Those shots will cut all the meat you want sir!

Hmmm...removed the muzzlebrake and went back to see how it would do. POI with the 300 A-frames dropped 5”! Never thought that heavy of a barrel would be changing harmonics that much!
Other results testing the Swift 300, NorthFork 300 SS and even my 1/2” consistently grouping 250 Barnes TTSX, all groups opened up and POI changed. Rather than starting all over on my loads, I think I’ll just put the brake back on until after my May hunt. At that point, I may or may not start over on my hand loads.

Had an excellent classifieds transaction with JoninCO. A truly honest and standup member. I wouldn't hesitate at all to deal with him again. Thanks, J!

Hi Lance, Hope you well. I collect Mauser rifles and they are very much part of my cultural history in Africa. Would you consider selling the rifle now a year on ? I'd like to place it in my collection of Mauser rifles. Many thx

I saw where you hunted elephant with backcountry safaris in Zimbabwe.
Was looking to book an elephant hunt and wanted to know how your hunt went
and if you would recommend them.

Thanks
Mike
