Good day members, are there any members who has this caliber rifle and hunt with it?
I am in need of getting hold of brass for this caliber.
It would be great if a member can share his experience hunting with this caliber .

Yes. All three of us boys took our first whitetail deer with our father’s model 94. I have it to this day and keep it for my boys. It is one of my most cherished possessions.

It is (IMO) the most wonderful little rifle. Nimble, light (even fully loaded) for a twelve year old, great brush gun for punching through in the blackberries, and really packs a whallop with very mild recoil.

I still use it to this day on rank or ferrel bulls/steers/cows. Remington cor-lock is all it’s ever had run through it.

Thank yo kindly kindly, it is much appreciated . How available is brass cases for this rifle?

@Gert Odendaal , I’ve never seen new brass in .32 Win Spl. I admit, I’m not a reloader, but I always look at what is available to the people that do. Now that I think on it, I don’t believe I’ve ever seen a baggie of used brass.

Last year I ran around and bought every last box of Remington ammo I could find. I told by the one store owner that Remington hasn’t done a production run of that cartridge for 20+ years and probably won’t ever again, as it’s now considered a relic and, outside of heirloom users like me, nobody shoots it.

It’s a shame too, because I truly love this round.

32 special and 32 self loader are completely different from each other!
32 special is still very much available as a deer cartridge. (I have a good supply of it)
However, 32 self loader is not available unless you can find someone who custom makes it. Original cartridges and I've never seen brass for it. The loaded rounds are well into the collectors realm. The 32 S.L. wasn't ever a very popular cartridge or rifle.

Thank you for the correction. I completely misunderstood.

You might try Buffalo arms.

Buffalo Arms has brass in stock. It is made from win 32 special rimmed. (lathe operations)

I think we getting the 32 Self Loader and 32 Special confused.... They are very different cases

Totally digging the Goodwin print. He is one of my all time favorites.

Hi Gert hope you are well bud ?

I have had a few other Winchester SL ie .401 & .351 really only the .401 is suitable to hunt game of any size, the .32WSL was thee most gutless, I think even less useful than 32/20 which can load up a bit, the .32WSL is a straight blow back so can’t up the anti much.

I think you can make cases from 32/20 with a little work which I think you could do easily as your handy & maybe .30 Carbine may work, it doesn’t have a rim but again a bit of massaging may work .

What were you hoping to kill with one bud ?

We are talking about this rifle ?

Hello,

Am I reading your post correctly to say that the Tsavo rifle will be coming out with a composite stock later this year? I ask because I had been looking very hard for a Tsavo, but if there is going to be a composite stock model I will wait for that.

Thank you for your time,

Andrew

Saw your post. Nice. Denver too. Genesee area (just off 70) if ever up this way. Alternatively, do you have a membership at GGC? Whatever, you'll have a wonderful time in Africa. Enjoy.
