Hi All,
Just pulled the trigger on a Cape Buffalo Hunt in Zambia for mid August.
My "Cruise Director" tells me this is the last trip we are taking that involves hunting.... I guess I'll be on my own the next time.
My plan was to return to South Africa in 2018 for Buffalo but I just couldn't pass up the Mbizi deal.
Thanks for all the positive comments on my previous posts for information on DG hunts.
I'll be flying with Ethiopian airlines through Addis Ababa as the flights and connections are really good from Canada. Not taking firearms this trip.
Any tips or hints for a successful hunt would be appreciated.
Thanks
Chuck

Congrats, I'm looking forward to your report already!

Congrats! Really looking forward to hearing how your hunt with @Mbizi Safaris goes as I am interested in potentially booking with them in the future!

Congrats on the booking, Are you just taking a buff or going to add some plains game?

Haven't really decided that yet. If I get lucky I would be interested in a chobe bushbuck or a puku. Buff first.

Cant wait to read your report! Should be a hell of a trip!

Congrats!

And I like how you're thinking on the PG. Take what you can't get elsewhere, and what Africa gives you. :)

Take lots of pictures and notes from your trip and write that hunt report.

What airport are you flying out of?

Yes...I'd suggest you shoot a BIG buff, take lots of pictures, and post them for us to see ;)

I'm unfortunately on a diet. Presently in VA hospital as Agent Orange finally caught up with me. Cancer and I no longer can speak. If all goes well I'll be out of here and back home in Thailand by end of July. Tough road but I'm a tough old guy. I'll make it that hunt.

Nice one there. I guided for mulies and elk for about 10 or so years in northern New Mexico.
