Jesus lighten up.

I’m curious to hear first hand accounts of all this indoctrination taking place. Not your great aunts third cousins Facebook posts, but actual witnessed events. I know I have a very small sample size, two kids one school, but I don’t see it happening. I’m not saying it is, but I believe that 99% of what people regurgitate is made up.

My favourite is the old litter boxes in the bathroom rumour. Who the hell is cleaning these? Are they in stalls or in the open? I’d they’re in a stall, did they pull a toilet out to make room?

I offered to pay for my sisters oldest to go to a local Christian school after finding out his first grade teacher was a transvestite who encouraged students to call him mom. She was unable to switch his schools due to a family court ruling.

Not sure how it works in other states, but in Okla our schools are run by an elected board that must be a resident of the school district. They oversee the superintendent and principal who then hire/fire the teachers. Most of them have monthly public meetings. I can’t think of a more local/central way of doing things. If one of my kids/grandkids had an openly transvestite teacher parading around I would be in the superintendents’ office or in a school board members office the next day. Too many people wringing their hands over how bad it gets but it’s a simple fix if you act. Our children had a poor quality teacher in elementary school and the principal and superintendent both quickly understood that MY kids only had third grade once and THEY weren’t going to waste it.

A member of my wife’s family is a school teacher in Ontario. She is transitioning and has ‘married’ a gay man. Although I care for her deeply, she is obviously dealing with serious mental issues.

What is alarming is that folks seem to think having folks with these issues teach children is ok and even celebrated.

If you live in Ontario and can’t see what’s happening, you are not looking very hard.

What’s worse, a tranny asking to be called mom, or a priest asking to be called daddy?!

Ok we got one; keep them coming

Is it really a matter of which is worse? That’s tantamount to asking if you prefer to bring prison raped or stabbed in the eye with a fork… the answer to both is a hard no..

@Aaron N are you asserting that the schools in Canada don’t have a problem with far left liberal agendas and or inappropriate messages being pushed on school children? Everything is fine?

Did you read my post?

I’ve started to type a couple responses and deleted them , I’m just going to say I disagree with your sense of humour on the subject and leave it at that.

I remember one of the fbi whistle blowers was from the Jacksonville fl branch I believe and was tasked with making up ball cards on pta parents that were complaining. Back when they were calling parents Domestic terrors. We home school but if we didn’t it would be private schooling.. but even then You have to check the school.
Patrick bet David a conservative businessman talked about how he was checking schools in south Florida and the school was close to 50k a year at the time I’m assuming (American heritage) but I can’t confirm. Anyway he asked what they taught and if they went over capitalism. He said he was asked if he was a trump supporter which he said was the craziest counter question he would have expected. Then the school said we teach all philosophies communism, climate change and capitalism and let the kids choose. He said money for a school won’t guarantee quality education. Look at the ivy schools.

Yet, Ivy league school graduates do get the top jobs. Money well spent. Starting associate pay for an Ivy league law school graduate is $210K this year at my daughter’s firm. Compare that to non Ivy league graduates starting pays.

Classic case of it’s not what you know, but who you know.

Please don’t miss understand what I’m trying convey Tanks. It not that the Ivy schools are not a good education depending of the field chosen they are some of the best in the world. The reality is a big benefit of going to them has always been the connections that you make with former alumni. But over the last 15 years the amount of BS that has nothing to do with education coming from them is startling.
One would not have assumed 20-30 years ago that Harvard, Yale, Dartmouth would have sizable factions of pro socialists, violent protest over trump,BLM, Palestine type of events, welcome hosts walking parents and students around talking about the transgender transition assistance that they offer. None of that stuff really has a place at any school but the elite schools I would have thought better.

Application rates to all the Ivy schools were down the last two years because more of there nonsense is being seen.

Also most Ivy graduates seem to be no better off then any other college graduate https://www.academicjobs.com/en-us/...e-average-salary-by-school-academicjobs-10113

Almost every master tradesman I’ve known has made as good or quite a bit better then those salaries after 10 years most within 4 years.
Of course schools offer many degrees and the best I’m sure make quite a bit more.
You mentioned Your daughter, I remember the post you had about her receiving the deal maker of the year award. That would make her exceptional which would also mean she is at an exceptional firm since they did the US Steel deal. I only mention that because you mentioned starting salary at her firm Vs non Ivy graduates. I’d have to see what the average Ivy law graduate makes overall vs non Ivy throughout America not at an elite firm since most graduates regardless of schooling are not considered exceptional amongst their career peers.

Edit: I looked up the salary difference for Ivy/non for law. Ivy definitely wins its 2-2.5 times more starting salary

And if you recall this discussion started when one of our members thought it worthy to complain about Mandami making a few tickets available for the U.S. Open at a discounted price and I referred to that person as a Scrooge. Why do you think he was so triggered by that community generosity
Probably because being generous with someone else's money isn't being generous at all.

I am genuinely happy that your kids are doing well. The question is, what, if anything, should the government be doing to make sure that as many kids as possible are also doing well?

Nothing! The opportunities are there; it's up to the individual to make the decision of which road to take.

I present you Dr Ben Carson.

The European press is reporting that he's on his last legs.
Do you actually believe that?
Or is this just the usual bashing by journalists?
It would be interesting to hear your thoughts on this.

Been told by a friend who works in the Pentagon that he is now being referred to as "no tag Pete".

Translation, very macho but does not have a Ranger tag :ROFLMAO:

Obviously you have idea how law firm recruitment works. During the summers of first two years of law school students go and work at law firms for about 6-8 weeks. If it is a fit then they are offered a position during their last year of law school. They do actual associate work and get paid accordingly.

My daughter had multiple offers. She got her first choice at the top M&A firm in the country.

She is at an exceptional (top 10) firm and they recruit aggressively. That being said, the firm did not get the US Steel representation and give it to her to finish.
She is a partner and as she puts it you eat what you kill. She got the merger deal for the company due to other work she had cultivated at US Steel.

Good morning. I see that you had a Sauer 202 for sale for $3,000. Did you sell it at that price?
I have one for sale as well. I listed it (on here ) at $3,000 as well. Is the price high, low or right where it should be?

Thanks. Alex. [redacted] in case you want to call me to discuss further. I appreciate your time help and support.

Dave, I could use both of them if still available. I just picked up a new .22 mag and a .22 pump that they would be perfect on.
