I recently returned from my first South Africa plains game hunt and I'm hooked. It was an absolutely incredible hunt and amazing time spent in South Africa. I'm already planning my next trip. I kept a journal of the entire trip and I'm really looking forward to sharing it here, once I have time to transcribe it. In the meantime, here are a few pictures of the game I took. My kudu was an old bull with massive horns. More to come!

Thank you '68boy! The hunt was located in the Limpopo region of South Africa. The Outfitter is Cruiser Safaris, who was absolutely fantastic. Cruiser Safaris is owned and operated by Pieter and Lizelle Lamprecht, who are both absolutely incredible people and run a phenomenal outfitter. I flew Delta, non-stop from Atlanta, Georgia to Johannesburg.
 
Congratulations on some nice trophies, that kudu is a real beast with nice deep curls and flaring tips, I would guess he would measure in the high 50's. Look forward to reading a full report when you get the chance to share with us all.
 
I’m flying Atl to Joburg in July for 10 day buff/pg hunt. 3rd time to Africa, first time to Limpopo, first buff. My kudu was big. Yours is bigger. What does he measure? Sounds like something you’d hear at a urinal! Glad you had a good hunt and a good time. You’ll go back.

You can see the smile in your trophy pictures. Looks like an incredible experience that will start the addiction quite admirably. ;)

Thanks MontanaPat! The my "Client Record Sheet" has RW (Rowland Ward) 57.5" and SCI 134.5"
 
Great animals, the body condition of the kudu was very poor, you did him a tremendous favor. Looked like he was starving to death and you got a fantastic trophy out of it.

I didn't notice the body condition of the kudu in the photo, just looking at his horns. You are right though, very thin body and heading into the rut even with all of the green browse they've had he probably wouldn't have survived much longer

Yes, he was definitely thin and on his way out, but boy, he was still fast.
