I was at Wildlife Revolutions yesterday, taking an elderly friend to drop off some things he wanted to get mounted. While there, I got my first chance to see my Lord Derby Eland mount which they recently finished. I’m very pleased with how it came out and I’ll be picking it up next week once I borrow a big enough trailer to bring it home; it’s as big as an Alaskan Moose.

Once I get it home I’m going to be taking down several animals that are featured on the largest wall in my game room, then putting my LDE in the center of the wall and re-arranging the others around it.

Very nice! What a fantastic animal :D Beers:

Nice trophy. Congratulations.

Great mount, it will feature very well in your game room

Stud! And find one before hanging that brute on the wall!

WOW! Trophy of a lifetime. Congrats!

The entire wall is sheathed in 3/4” plywood and the studs are 2x6’s. He’ll be hung with a Lag Bolt screwed into the wall, so I should be good to go. All my heavy mounts are hung on lag bolts, not nails.

Eland hunting is one of the best IMO. That is an incredibly beautiful animal/mount. Congrats!

Good afternoon,

I'm trying to get in contact with Mr Butch Searcy. I have the opportunity to buy one of his rifles chambered in 577 nitro Express however the seller does not have any of the paperwork with the information about what ammunition or bullet weight was used to regulate it. I know he is not making firearms anymore but I wanted to reach out after seeing one of your post about him.

Hi - the only (best) method of sending you the .375/06IMP data is with photographing my book notes. My camera died so the only way I can do it is with my phone. To do that, I would need your e-mail address, as this
new Android phone is too complicated to upload to my desk computer, which would be easier and to down-grade, reduce the file sizes.
Best wishes
Daryl

Hey Steve, This is Steve Washington we met at KMG last year. I am interested in your Winchester. Would love to speak with you about it. I work third shift and I cannot take a phone with me to work. Let me know a good time to call during one of your mornings. My phone is [redacted]. Live in Florida so I have to account for the time difference.
Look forward to hearing from you.
