After Lebeau Courally stopped building firearms in 2020, I personally thought that Belgium's long history & prestigious heritage of gun making had finally come to a tragic end. To the best of my knowledge, no other (major) Belgium based firm was manufacturing sporting firearms anymore (with the exception of Browning's B25 over & under shotgun).

Well, today I was absolutely elated to learn that a heritage gun making firm in Belgium is finally back in business. That's right, gents.

After 20 years of being out of business, Dumoulin Arms is back. Currently, they're only building sidelock ejector double rifles. And in only three calibers:
.500 Nitro Express
.600 Nitro Express
.700 Nitro Express

All with 23" barrels and hand detachable locks. But even this relatively small selection is enough to make me thank my lucky stars. I'm definitely drooling thinking about a Dumoulin Arms .600 Nitro Express sidelock ejector double rifle now.

Here is a .700 Nitro Express which they recently had for sale at the DSC Convention 2026.

Beautiful, but too much rifle for me! I think a 470 NE is about as big as I’d want to go.

If they start making M98 actions again I'll be the first in line..

this is excellent news!

Mmmm.....you and your addiction to the 600 NE.... :A Thumbs Up:

Still strange, because the phone numbers are in France. The headquarters of the Armurerie Elysées are in Paris. Dumoulin has never before manufactured a DR caliber 600 Nitro Express, let alone one caliber 700 Nitro Express. This has nothing to do with the classic style of this former company. I don't know who the owner is, but it reminds me somewhat of the story of Rigby.

Does anyone know the level of production they will be doing in-house? Not that fitting a double rifle isn’t complicated enough, just wondering if they are machining the actions from blanks or outsourcing the bigger work.

I saw the rifle at DSC, it looked like a big, beautiful club

Looks like they are doing a 470 as well. And I second @mdwest on the M98’s

Prices? I have the same urge as Habib

Most likely new owners/investors and underwriters who want to resurrect or in some way keep the name and its old quality going. I know the old Dumoulin rifles maintain high resale prices due to their historic quality when they exist, and I have one (just like my Rigby) for that exact reason. I'm glad someone is doing this.

I will be looking for a set of these when my .505 is done... sadly not cashed up right now for these. :(
Need anything in trade?
Cheers,

what kind of velocity does the 140 grains list, curious how they would fit in with my current 130 gr, supply of 270s. maybe a pic of the box data listing vel. and drop. Oh and complements on that ammo belt, nice.
