@Altitude sickness and I hosted Ian, Brian, and Kristen of the Montana Rifle Company for a “user test” of a pre-production example of the new MRC Tsavo Rifle in .375 H&H. It is a really nice rifle featuring;
  • 4 round magazine in .375 H&H
  • 23” barrel
  • Removable muzzle brake
  • Cerakote finish
  • Uses M70 Classic scope bases
  • Very nice wood with a “vacuum” impregnated finish
  • A bunch of other features that I didn’t take notes on… J
  • Retail price when available, $3295
We shot at 50 yards off the standing rest and at 15 to 20 yards for rapid fire. We took a lot of videos but for now, I will post some stills.

Great looking rifle.

Nice looking rifle!

A lot to like about that setup. Certainly lots of room on the bolt knob for some engraving. Are they sticking with just. 375 or are they considering other calibers?

Soooo...asking for a friend, but how would one go about chatting about a .416? Email them directly? And what's their timeframe for going into production?

I’m sure Ian will weigh in soon.

Mark, were you shooting at your backyard range?
We'll just call it my private gun club... :) Ten acres of home, family, fresh venison every November, and the rural ability to enjoy my favorite pastime.

That is a lot of gun for the money. Honestly, I don’t care for the profile of the cheek piece area etc., but would certainly take one for R&D purposes to see if it grew on me. :)

That’s a really nice looking rifle. I’d like one in 416 too

What’s the weight and balance like? What did you think of the trigger and is it proprietary or from a vendor?

Beautiful rifle!

Beautiful rifle! Any indication if Montana will produce left hand rifles?

An excellent AH member right here! I had a fantastic transaction with Hornedfrogbbq (I was the seller). His communication was first rate, payment was extremely fast, and I would have absolutely no reservations at all dealing with him again. Thank you, F!
Here we are, the last day of the show in Denver, it's been a good show but expecting a quiet day today. I will be back for-sure to do this show next year and maybe also do the one in Sacramento California.

On Monday I will be hitting the road driving from Denver and eventually make it down to Atlanta for the flight home.

its going to be a good year!

Hi Rem280, Saw your post on getting selected for Idaho Elk. Do you have a zone(s) selected? I live in N Idaho, might be able to offer some ideas.

Cheers,

Craig
