I took my first bushbuck this past weekend. It is a Chobe Bushbuck, hunted in Zambia. I took it with my .375H&H at about 40m, so a little overkill.

What beautiful animals and a great hunt. I doubt it will be my last bushbuck.

My first Trophy limpopo Bushbuck . And what a old warrior he is.

A split botton lip from a battle .

Bles behind the horns

Extreamly thick set of worn down horns nice ivory tips

Unique 2 twisted style of horns

What a gentleman.

Shot in Tazeen with my 375 Sako

Chobe bushbuck N Zim. A little video

Limpopo, chobe and cape, bushbuck are my favorite plains game to hunt. I can’t imagine being in an area with them and not making an effort to hunt one!

Not a huge bushbuck but I’ve always liked the picture. Taken on Mahimba in Mozambique.

I was fortunate to have taken this older ram on my first PG hunt on the Eastern Cape with Frontier Safaris this past June.

'Never measured around the curve (completed the spiral-horned slam this trip much thanks to the now-retired PH) but in a straight line, the non-working horn measures at least 18". it's a brute! They're also pretty tasty.

Here's a photo of Tony receiving that Shaw & Hunter award at the 1970 annual EAPHA Dinner Dance. Tony Dyer, then EAPHA President and Princess (Sunny) von Auersperg presented it. I also attended the event.
