I've been seeing reports that Sig Sauer has filed for bankruptcy. Is this true?

Jeanes, what I read was only in Germany are they closing. The US division is doing well.

I assume Germany like many socialist governments are taxing businesses to the point of them leaving. Prophet is not the bad thing that some people think it is. It creates jobs and stimulates the economy. Look what has happened in the province’s of Canada that have Liberal or NDP governments businesses have left because of the cost.

"Prophet",, depending on who it is may be a bad thing:whistle:... however 'profit', is usually always a good thing...(y):D

Germany's trade surplus in 2018 was 275 BILLION U.S. dollars. They're just passing those taxes on to consumers who think they're getting something better because the price his higher.

Socialist governments exist because they promise everything to the populist peoples’ who don’t/won’t work, and fund their governments on the poor bastards that work to provide a better life for themselves and their families! Socialism TAKES, Capitalism CREATES!

You mean like Blasers? I could not resist

In a lot of cases you are getting a better product, Zeiss, Leica, Rodenstock, Schneider, Linhof, Mercedes-Benz, BMW just to name a few.

And that can be debated ad nauseum. The last two are now made in the U.S. Anecdotal but the last German made Benz my sibling owned was an unadulteraded lemon. I worked in the auto biz. It's all about marketing and perception.

Hallo Marius- do you have possibilities for stags in September during the roar? Where are your hunting areas in Romania?

Love your rifle! I'm needing a heavier rifle for Africa. Sold my .375 Dakota Safari several trips ago. Would you have any interest in a trade of some sort involving the custom 338/06 I have listed here on the site ( I have some room on my asking price. I also have a large quantity of the reloading components and new Redding dies as well as a box of A-Square Dead Tough ammo.
