Good afternoon all me and my wife are looking into planning a safari and no idea what we are really doing. we know what we want to hunt witch is zebra, kudu, blue wildbeast, and warthog. we have been looking at some outfitter packages and dont know if some are to good to be true any and all advice would be wonderfully

Welcome to AH and good luck on the planning! This is a great place to start planning your first safari! Lots of good outfitters here.

Welcome to AH jknapier! If you are looking at outfitters listed as sponsors on AH, you can search for hunts with them. They have pretty much all been reported on and I believe you can’t go wrong with any of them. You will need to decide the country and/or no fences or high fenced. I personally believe it is just as difficult if not more so stalking game in high fenced areas since they have probably been stalked before making them pretty spooky. That said, there is just something romantic added to a hunt with free ranging game. Take your pick.
I am heading back for a second hunt with PawPrints this Thursday. They treated me well, had excellent food and a very nice place. I will be splitting my hunt between their lodge in the Northwest province and their new tent camp in the Limpopo province which is adding to my excitement for the hunt.

Welcome aboard!

Are you referring to looking at the deals and offers section of this site? Then yes, there are many outfitters here that are the real deal and offer some great deals throughout the year!

Welcome to the site. There is a wealth of information here from great people eager to help. Enjoy the planning and ask lots of questions here.

Welcome you will get great info here.Going back for my 4th trip with Paw print this year. I was told my deal was to go to be true the first time but it was not. With doing the right homework you can find some great deals to be had.

That is a nice start to a list you have. You may want to look at adding an impala as they are a fun hunt fair priced and just say Africa.

Enjoy the planning!
Everyone had their first hunt once and needed help.
Ask questions, use the search function and enjoy reading the posts here.
You know your target species so for a first time hunt you are realistically looking at Namibia or South Africa.
There are many hunters here with experience of both places and many outfitters in both places that will be willing to help you out.
I think it's fairly safe to say that any outfitter here will be reliable and trustworthy because if they aren't it will be apparent quite quickly.

Welcome to AH sir. I will be more than happy to help you with the desired hunt you have described. Getting ready to leave on my sixth safari myself and the planning is have the fun .

I've only hunted in Namibia so absolutely no experience of South African outfitters unfortunately.

Welcome to AH!

jknapier, welcome to AH. Since this year's hunting season is upon us by reading the posts other AH members put out you should be able to glean the answers to some of your questions. Then after a couple of months there are still some questions to be answered just ask them. Right now you are in the position that you don't know what you don't know. That isn't a play on words it's just that you don't know what questions to ask. We've all been there and are willing to help in any way we can.
