How does the removal of the 18% VAT tax affect the price of this hunt?

How does the removal of the 18% VAT tax affect the price of this hunt?
Prior to lifting of the VAT tax, you would take all cost associated with hunt and either personally add 18%, or the outfitter had to add into total price as they could not absorb that much expense(goverment) on published prices for trophy fees, concession, etc. Now the VAT tax only applies to the daily rate, as this is a service(but Tanzania previously had a VAT on this, just not this steep). So previously, for instance, you shot $10,000 worth of trophies, the additional VAT would have added another $1800, payable to the goverment, not the outfitter. Hope that answers the question in brief.

I just went to your web site and could not find a trophy fee list. Can you post that or PM it to me? Can you also provide the cost to have an observer along? And other than the major flights, what are any other expected pre and post hunt costs? Such as any necessary hotel stays, etc.

Thanks!

Magdel,
Thanks for the additional information but in the original ad you list the charter as included. Is it or not?

I've been watching Tanzania deals for a while now... really feel like I need to go there one of these days while I'm healthy and able;)

There are significant costs and one needs to be prepared, on the other hand something close to a full bag 21 day Tanzania Safari expieriance...

Sorry ActionBob

Charter is included in this deal. The only extra cost will be observer fees, trophy fees of other game taken, extra rifle permit fees (you are allowed three, we include two), hotel accommodation, gratuities and your flight.

Tanzania is one of the last frontiers where we offer you the true African dream safari. We have three excellent free ranging hunting areas in the Selous offering excellent trophies.

Hi
I did a 21 x day hunt in Tanzania in 2005 and if memory serves me well I paid $36k for the safari costs. This compared to the advertised $43k in this post is a bargain.
The HUGE difference today is in trophy fees and one of the reasons that I haven't been back there. It is a phenomenal place to hunt... been there twice!
For what it's worth, don't even consider the road transport and go with charter option!

Business is the only way to fly. I'm headed to SA August 25. I'm hoping that business isn't an arm and a leg. If you don't mind, what airline and the cost for your trip. Mine will be convoluted. I'll be flying into the states to pick up my 416 Rigby as Thailand doesn't allow firearms (pay no attention to the daily shootings and killings) so I'll have 2 very long trips.
