Patsy is one lucky lady. I particularly like the magazine floor plate very nice touch. Are you going to have it blued and gold highlighted??

Great looking rifle in a Great Caliber, way cheaper to load and shoot than a 404, and much more versital she can load it with 300s for DG or load it with 235s for Plains game

hi it will be blued larry is still working on it. as its going to be her working rifle for back up on dg hunts just plain bluing . but i can see it being very well looked after as her anschutz 30-06 surely is!

375 H&H is such an awsome round too! Everything from jackal to elephant!

very nice looking rifle @spike.t !

Mike,

Sharp! Love the floor plate engraving......

Is that going to be your "camp" rifle for visiting hunters that don't bring their own?

its apparently an ok calibre i have heard.....:E Shrug:.

I know you want to give it some more time before you're sure. Another 50 years maybe?

Hey you might be onto something there.......Hunting dangerous game with a shotgun slug. For those with a very, very adventurous spirit......

Not to hijack a thread, but apparently in Russia, and other Eastern Block countries under the control of the former USSR, hunting big bears, as well as other big game species with smooth-bore shotguns and slugs was/is very common amongst the locals because of very severe restrictions on owning rifles there? Apparently, in some former USSR countries, a civilian cannot own a rifle (even something like a .22 LR) until they've owned a shotgun for 5 years?

Anyway, there is a slug called the DDupleks Hexolit 32. These rounds look pretty nasty in theory, but I'm not sure I would trust my life to them, but I guess if that is all you were allowed to hunt with.........maybe.

Anyway, again sorry for hijacking the thread.....

And I really do love that rifle, especially the floor plate engraving. It will be a lifelong friend of yours I'm sure. I can't wait to see pictures of the finished project.
