Best Bullet Or Combination For Buffalo Hunt

Woodleigh 350gr. PP work good in my 375 Ruger Guide gun with 20" barrel.. I get 2391fps. and just under 1" group at 100yds. Haven't shot any game with it yet.
That is very quick! I was anticipating under 2300 fps with a 22" barrel in the H&H version.

Alliant RL17 powder is my friend with loads on the 375 Ruger with 300gr and the 350gr. PP bullets.

What are you using for powder?

I used Swift A-frames over Swift A-frames for my cape buffalo. i didn't bother with solids and found the A-frames to get plenty of penetration. i recovered two of the 3 shots used to bring down my buffalo and in both cases the bullet was found on the off side of the animal just under the skin regardless of what bones were hit (one hit the shoulder and the other the spine). weight retention was over 90% regardless of range and what it hit. one bullet hit a tree before breaking the shoulder and passing threw both lungs.

keep in mind my performance was from a 505 Gibbs but i imagine the A-frame will perform regardless of caliber.
