All matching 1910 commercial type b
Stock shows it’s had a working life, adding tons of character. Bore is very good. Small amounts of wear to metal work, minor, but not ‘perfect’, as would be expected.

If you know your mausers, there’s not much to say really, it’s the holy grail.

Located in UK, but can be exported via agents at cost

Not really sure how to price this, finding one is a bit like hitting a gold ore these days.

Let’s say enquiries below £7,750 pounds sterling are welcome by private message .

I can provide references to other happy members of the forum with offshore purchases if desired

Stunning,
thanks for posting.

I'm not a buyer,
you wouldn't want to sell it to me as I'd drill and tap it for a scope.

Modern rifle manufacturers should take note of the stock dimensions.
Minimalistic and more than enough.

I'd love to know what it weighs but don't want to bother you.

Best of luck with the sale, thanks again for posting.

Quality rifles from that era with some character are a weakness for me!!
Beautifully stocked, simple, and built to last for generations.

This rifle, due to health reasons, is reduced to sell at £2750 pounds sterling

I can't stand it any longer. Please let me know what the additional charges would be through Westley Richards to get the rifle from UK to Washington State, USA. If it makes any difference, the rifle would qualify for inclusion under my C&R FFL (03) license.

I’ll have a chat with them and revert

Thank you

Really surprised the commercial rifles didn't have a different style of rear site instead of the normal military configuration site. Beautiful gun nonetheless

That is a 1910 action! If it’s commercial, I would bet that the sighting was an option for the customer and military type was one of the options.

Yes, this is a commercial rifle indeed. The early proper pre war commercials coming out of Germany had the ladder/tangent sights, the later ones post-war with the Mauserwerke actions, had leaf sights. Some of the type A and C’s had leaf sights and those going to Rigby etc were fitted with alternative; but this is as clean and commercial as they come.

I cut my teeth on a 22lr Oberndorf mauser B type....looked exactly like this one bar the caliber

my desire to own either a Type A Mauser 7x57 or Rigby in 257 Rigby grows with every passing year

We hope you end up choosing the Rigby in .275!
