Type b Oberndorf Mauser 7x57

All matching 1910 commercial type b
Stock shows it’s had a working life, adding tons of character. Bore is very good. Small amounts of wear to metal work, minor, but not ‘perfect’, as would be expected.

If you know your mausers, there’s not much to say really, it’s the holy grail.

Located in UK, but can be exported via agents at cost

Not really sure how to price this, finding one is a bit like hitting a gold ore these days.

Modern rifle manufacturers should take note of the stock dimensions.
Minimalistic and more than enough.

I'd love to know what it weighs but don't want to bother you.

Really surprised the commercial rifles didn't have a different style of rear site instead of the normal military configuration site. Beautiful gun nonetheless

Yes, this is a commercial rifle indeed. The early proper pre war commercials coming out of Germany had the ladder/tangent sights, the later ones post-war with the Mauserwerke actions, had leaf sights. Some of the type A and C’s had leaf sights and those going to Rigby etc were fitted with alternative; but this is as clean and commercial as they come.

you will definetly find a rigby 7mm much faster than a 7mm type A

I like any and all Original Sporting Mauser configurations!!! As is this one made with an Intermediate lenght action!!

I’m sure there is some exception, possibly a Roll built rifle for instance, but almost or every(?) Mauser in 7x57 was built on an intermediate action.
