Exactly. That is exactly the concept behind the universal rights of man.

Many of the founders, as products of the enlightenment and including among others Washington, Franklin, and Jefferson, were "deists" rather than actual followers of a particular denomination. Deism incorporates the notion of a belief in the existence of a single creator God, but largely rejects the concept of revealed religion, instead relying on reason and nature to understand the divine. Deism abhors dogma. Hence, the focus by the founders on the creator given natural rights of man. This does not mean that they did not participate in religious services or ceremonies. The majority would have been considered Anglican. However that attendance was more of a social responsibility than adherence to a particular set of beliefs created by men rather than the creator.

Freemasonry, which also grew out of the enlightenment, was embraced by many of the founders where much of its symbology found its way into our national symbols - pull out a dollar bill. Deism provided a non-dogmatic but also non-sectarian foundation for an organization with members of different faiths.

The French revolution was also seeded by the enlightenment, but sprang from a far more totalitarian political environment abetted by an omnipresent Roman Catholic church and was therefore inevitably far more socially violent. The French revolutionaries were as critical of the role of the church and by extension the existence of a creator as they were the royal government. These were ideas which Napoleon exploited beyond the terror as he continued to emasculate the power of the church and appropriate its wealth to fund his military machine and civil projects.

Putin won't take anyone seriously, regardless of the levels of diplomacy, or who is wielding it.
IMO- Only a strong showing of force will get Putin's attention.
If Trump really wants to end the war, he simply needs to quit playing nice with Putin, and bring down the hammer on Russia.

That is essentially what I am saying. If you and I have that figured out, it is somewhat depressing that Trump's chief negotiator is such an apparently naive representative of this country. With respect to the president, I am convinced ending the war, whether justly or through pressuring Ukraine and Europe, is his only goal.

I am only interested in information. All of it, POLITICO, CNN, FOX, or NEWSMAX, is filtered to appeal to their audiences and support their particular narrative. You will be hard pressed to find anyone with a clue on either side of the internet praising the efforts of this diplomatic lightweight.

We kept one in the trunk of our limo, one in our protectees office, and one in our medics go-bag back when I ran the protective services unit at the world bank… and had others strategically placed in other places as well…

And that was 20+ years ago when the units were larger and heavier and more expensive..

Willie has likely always had a portable defibrillator unit within 50 yards of him dating all the way back to his Governor of Arkansas days… there is zero doubt his USSS detail that he has had both during his presidency and after also have defib units within arms reach 24/7…

The “story” is really nothing more than the MSM telling us they have nothing of real interest to report… so they need to make some shit up…

The athleticism on the defensive side of the ball is truly amazing when you consider how much bigger and faster the players have gotten.

From a commercial standpoint they continue to set records for viewers and engagement. It’s really the only thing on TV that continues to grow it audience.
