I was surprised at how little information is on the web regarding the Blaser BB 97 Classic. So I decided to make a very simple video to rectify that deficiency.

Firstly, I should point out that the BB97C does not have adjustable barrels like the BBF 97.

If anyone wants to know more please ask.

Interesting video.

I have never seen that version of a Blaser here.

I have two BBF with 06/06 12/06 20/22 hornet and 9.3/9.3. Very versatile, points like a laser.

I don't know why that is either.

People hold on to their prejudices with firearms for no logical reason.

Then they claim that one type is superior over another.

The Push-feed rifles are an example.

The big bore lever guns are another.

A friend of mine had a first safari about 10 years ago. He had a very nice my70 in 300 Winchester that shot like a million bucks. He had a great Leupold LPS on it (remember those?), and it was a super shooter.

The inter webs convinced him that he needed a new rifle for his first safari, and he ordered a new R8 luxus in 300 Winchester, and bought a Swarovski 6 series to top it.

His old M70 was a great shooter.

But he was convinced he could not do this safari without a new rifle and the R8 was it. I think he had $6500 in the combo. I have quite a few R8's and I have owned quite a few others. They are not worth the expense over a standard rife.

This isn't a guy that has a ton of money, and $6500 toward trophy fees would have made a hell of a difference. He shot 5 or 6 animals. Didn't have the cash to keep shooting, and came home.

Any quality rifle can do anything.

Sir, I will gladly take that 16 gauge off your hands. I was waiting for your Winchesters but I'm a sucker for a 16 ga.

I bought a great deal of the brass he had for sale, plus I already had many hundred rounds.

How much brass are you looking for?
