You are going to have to parse that one for me. Article 5 no longer applies to the US?
I'm not an article 5 expert but I believe it covers the Baltics and Poland but not Ukraine. Perhaps baltics are in article 6

It's kind of a 3 musketeers approach. All for one and one for all.
But I thought it gave options to support vs get fully engaged with military action if a member is attacked. I'll need to refresh on it if I'm in error.

While I don’t disagree with your statements, I will say that Canadians tend to be very emotionally sensitive and overly dramatic and have appeared that way for decades.

I remember watching CNN broadcasts back in the mid 1990’s of Canadians burning American flags in the streets as a result of fishing regulations and territorial disputes.
So you’ve developed your opinion of Canadians watching CNN? I suppose Canadians could develop their opinion of Americans by watching the same news agency, George Floyd, BLM, ANTIFA, quite a pretty picture they paint of our nation.

I understand that, and yes when you see illegal immigrants destroy industries that had sustained generations of Americans be reverted to poverty wages, yeah I get your point… but we were not burning flags in the streets.

To be honest I think having this guy…..

in office for over 9 years did more damage to Canada than anything that Trump has done or could do.
Future generations of Canadians will look back on the period of time we spent with a leader that painted himself black and feel shame much the same as future generations of Americans should feel about the actions of a leader who paints himself orange.

What’s so sad is that his predecessor was one of the greatest PM’s in Canada’s history.

The question was in regard to Baltic NATO members, Ukraine is not a member of NATO and is not covered. Article 5 is not optional if one has signed onto NATO, it is the heart of the treaty. That being said, I don't trust Trump honoring any treaties he doesn't like.

Ahem, I paid a 0% loan for my girlfriend’s jeep. Price was determined when we ordered it, X below MSRP. Paying for it was arranged after the sale, options were 0% for 3 years, cash or traditional financing.

Price of the vehicle was determined way before moving to the finance guy even with my Lexus. Though, they pushed for me to finance it 100% and take it home that night rather than wait 2 days for wire transfer. I told them I didn’t mind waiting. :ROFLMAO:
Got something stuck in your throat? It might be the BS they told/sold you. MSRP means nothing. It’s just a made up document. I will give you that it’s harder to negotiate now than before COVID. However, the “invoice” and MSRP are just documents. Dealers get “hold back” money from the factory for each car sold and that is not disclosed to the consumer. Working up a price online or when ordering is not in stone and the bottom line but like I said, they are playing hardball now compared to pre-COVID. There is no such thing as 0% financing. They just get it back by not lowering the price and BS you into thinking they can’t lower it.

Riiiiight. Where have i defended the Russians?
Don't equate calling a balanced view of the situation and the warts on both sides as defending the one you don't like because I'm not willing to look at it in a pure black vs. pure white lens as it seems many are.

The last true conservative to hold office in North America. I wish Harper would run again he has done a few campaign events this election and seems to be as sharp as ever.

dear Scott CWO, I highly appreciate your guarantees (I hope no one in the West will violate them in the future), but nevertheless I would like to note that from the outside it is the Western idea of advancing its military structure to the East that looks like a really paranoid idea.
Considering the main topic of the forum: if you're sitting in a tree and a bear is climbing up to you, what should you think? Even if he assures you that your fears are paranoid. (yes, the bear does not violate any written agreements).
@Vashper trust me comrade, nobody in the West ever thinks or talks about invading Russia. We don’t want your land but would love to visit, tour and hunt with you. You could be completely surrounded by NATO countries and you would never be invaded. Actually, that would be the safest outcome for everyone because your leaders are the invaders. The only thing we wish for is for Russians to someday somehow come to your senses and become a democratic republic with capitalism instead of the oligarchy and kleptocracy you’re in now. You do realize that your oligarchs share earnings with Putin, do you not? How did Putin get so rich otherwise?

Why can’t your leaders just enjoy your vast beautiful country and build it up without coveting your neighbors and former Soviet republics? Your country has vast resources and could be a strong country but you’re too worried about expanding your borders to invest in your own country. Such a shame. Your potential is endless and pissed away.

Thank you for repeating my point with the exception of your last sentence.

Tubby’s, I feel the Canadian voter is using Trumps childish rhetoric as an excuse to keep voting for handouts and “free” stuff. Once a society goes full liberal there’s no going back. Unfortunately your cities decide who is PM. What are your thoughts.

In the 25 years I worked for NCR, I spent a lot of time with Canadians , I always considered them just like me except a little more civilized. I also spent a lot of time with Australians, I always considered them just like me except a little less civilized. All joking aside, I for one feel a little uneasy every time Trump insults our northern neighbors. All of that being said, we have to get a handle on our out of control debt. Speaking of that, Canada holds 780 billion dollars of US debt, the only way to accumulate that is thru trade imbalance and certainly some of that is thru unfair tariffs on Canada’s part.

Recommend you re-read the part in the article about "such action as it deems necessary"

Military action is apparently optional.

NATO Article 5

You may be right, but the fact is the conservatives had a commanding lead until Trump began the trade war. Once that began, the country seemed to unify behind the government in power (Liberals).

My father-in-law, a staunch Canadian conservative, commented on the situation by saying ‘the masses are asses’.

Study history not Kool-Aid.

Done. Successfully and without being snookered by the propaganda into delusions of good guys and bad guys like a bad western or a disney movie.

That is a fair amount of the problem, we desperately need an electoral reform to redistribute the vote power more equally to all of the provinces. The issue with that is it’ll never happen with the liberals in power because they gain the most from the imbalance.

You’re wrong on the “free stuff” the “free stuff” liberals always vote liberal anyway, this election is going to be decided by the segment of the population that doesn’t vote generally, all they see is trump being a threat to Canada they have rallied behind carney. This election is going to have record turn out 1/6 Canadians have already voted.

Because Canada holds u.s. treasury bonds we must unfairly tariff you?

So what do they think a liberal will do about Trump?

I have no idea the shipping cost from here to Costa Rica. I can do my research on shipping and get back with you later today.

I didn't see your request re: ship co’s. My last shipment was 2023. Quotes from SBS Logistics ($1,198), Badger Cargo ($1,184 - used them) & AHG Trophy Shippers ($1,746). AHG owner's an asshole so wouldn't have used him anyway. Eastern Cape - Houston, TX, so your mileage may vary. NEVER use Karl Human Taxidermy aka Wild Africa Taxidermy on Eastern Cape. Trophies arrived shattered with no padding/packing material.
