BOTSWANA: NKWE SAFARIS More Than Big Kudu

The Kalahari country of Botswana has to be some of the finest big kudu ground in the world. Well done!

What an unbelievable safari...kudu(s) of my dreams!

Congratulations!

@Mac13…I’m so happy to hear about y’all’s successful safari with NKWE, glad it was a blast. I appreciate the detailed, exciting & entertaining hunt report. I am curious about what ammo was used for both the 7PRC & 30-06. I’m well aware of the awesome Texan quality of Hill Country Rifles, those guys are wonderful & worth every penny of their craftsmanship.
Congratulations, Gentlemen.

Thank you. Both rifles have varmint contour barrels and are cut to 20” to run suppressed. We lose a little velocity but the rifles balance really well with the banish backcountry. Really don’t notice it is on there other than the length. We use factory ammo.

Great write up! Great hunt. Jaco has a great setup.
My father, brother and me will be there in about 3 weeks. This doesn't help my excitement.

Congratulations to both of you!! You will be reminiscing about this one as long as you live. Absolutely amazing!! Thanks for sharing.

What an incredible trip! Good for your son paying his way, definitely not easy to do in your 20’s….
Thanks for the write up!

Well, it has been 3 months now since we made it back home and I have had the time to find a few more photos as well as video's to post. I find myself longing to get back. Here are the photos. The videos will take a little longer.

I have been hunting for over 50 years now and just about every day, I look at this photo as this is the pinnacle of all those years spent in the woods. To do it with my son, I have no words. Memories for a lifetime.

Fantastic!

Great pics

Congratulations on your excellent hunt and taking so many outstanding trophies. Two of us will be hunting with NKWE in 2026. Like you I will be bringing a 7 mm PRC. Which bullet did you use so successfully on this trip ? Thanks in advance for the information!

Thank You.

Federal 170 Grain Terminal Ascent in the 7 mm PRC.
Federal 180 Grain Trophy Bonded Tipped in the 30-06.

I have used many difference bullets over the years and I am sold on these for accuracy and performance. You will have the trip of a lifetime with Jaco and staff.

I am a huge fan of the Terminal Ascent and Trophy Bonded Tips. I am a bit nervous about the quality since Federal was bought out by another company. Hoping the quality remains what it was as they move forward.

Good Afternoon,
How firm are you on your Dakota 416? I am highly interested but looking at a few different guns currently.

Best,
BJ

What is the minimum you would take.

I have a Chapuis 450-400 double that looks brand new and shoots well, never been hunted from what I can tell. I am willing to part with it as I have a 375 H&H Sodia on it's way from Dorleac & Dorleac. I am looking for $9,250 for it and if you are interested, I am happy to send you some pictures. Regards,
Steve
