How many .375 H&H's and/or .416's do you own and shoot?

One 375H&H…Blaser R8.

Had a 416RM but it was right at my recoil limit and was pretty wicked heavy for a true stalking safari. Sold it to another AH member who I believe gave it to his son for an upcoming DG hunt.

@Ridge Runner
As much as you are welcome around my campfire and more than welcome in my home if'n y'all turned up with a 243 you would need to bring a pound of butter and some ear muffs.
The pound of butter is to make it less painful for when I put it up your nether regions and the ear muffs to deafen the sound of my ranting about how much I dislike that horrible little cartridge.
I could tolerate a man bun 6.5 but never never a 243.
Dang I would even lend you my 25 or Whelen.

You’re a man after my own heart . WTF is it with the 6.5 Creedmore ? And I can’t stand 243 either .

1x Mauser .375 H&H
1x CZ 550 .375 H&H

I sit here shaking my head at all of this excessive inventory! Why would a man need more than one rifle really? Well, and a double barrel shotgun to scare away criminals by firing into the air off your porch! If y’all would sell some of these guns, you could donate the money to help the “Newcomers” live a better life. I hope this has made some of you heartless heathens think!

I have to think of this...sold a BRNO 375 here not long ago...

Sako 375 H&H
Dakota 10 375 flanged
Champlin 375 H&H
Blaser R8 375 H&H

Dakota 76 416 Rigby (sold another one last year)
Ruger Alaskan 416 Ruger
almost bought another 416 Rigby recently

I'm glad you didn't ask about .45's and .500's!

Considering I'm not going on safari I have more than I'll ever need. But I like the fun of shooting the biguns so I have more of them than I need. As I tell my wife "At least I didn't spend the money on drug right????"
A man after my own heart. I have no safari plans either, but just like shooting the big boomers. :)

1x Interarms Whitworth Express 375H&H
1x custom 1909 Argentinian Mauser 458WM

No worries about me bringing a 243. Although tempted I don't own one. If I need a small caliber with a punch I'll use my 22 Hornet or 32-20 lever action if y'all allow lever guns into Australia.

too many!
@Surgeon1 beat me to it.

I once thought 41 firearms was too many so I thinned the herd down to 2 shotguns, 3 handguns, and 3 rifles: 1- 30-06, 1- 22, and 1- 50 cal muzzleloader.

Then I found a need for a 28 gauge O/U. Then came folks, I got a; found this cleaning out; would you be interested in this/these, and suddenly I'm back to a whole new collection. And then came my chance for my first safari in Africa and the need for Africa guns. Thus the collection continues to grow and grow.

Nearly all my guns meet two criteria:
1. Fun
2. I got a deal on it.

Like, I didn't really plan on getting the three .4xx rifles in the last three weeks, but I just paid stupid cheap money between some strategic auction wins and knowing a guy. My entire collection has basically been built that way. IIRC the only gun I own that I paid "full price" was a Magnum Research BFR in 45/70 with the Bisley grips. But even then it was priced like it was the plow handle so I still sorta got a deal. And I had to have that one --- too much fun.

I managed to walk away from another Pre64 M70 yesterday. Was in pretty decent shape other than the rear receiver having a single hole drilled and the side having 2 holes drilled plus the stock being cut for a peep sight. Would've been a great shooter but wasn't cleaner than what I already had and was priced IMO too high for the condition

First world problems we have guys!
I have gone a little overboard in the last two weeks or so I have acquired:
SP101 327 federal (because I got a deal on primed brass)
A 40-65 win 1875 C. Sharps (because it was pretty)
A Blaser R8 (because it was an awesome deal and I want to see what the fuss is.)
A GP-100 4” blued 357 (because I always thought they were a nice looking revolver and it was handier than my 6”)
And tonight scored on a Ruger Lipsey 77 in 35 Whelen (which wasn’t a screaming deal but I didn’t want to pay twice as much later on GB when I decided I needed it!) i honestly just went in to pick up a holster for the GP-100 in my defense!
I think I have it covered now, until the next one!

Yep...there is always a next one. And then there are those you regret not getting. I'm still kicking my hind end for not buying a Ruger #1 in 458WM at a gun show before my 3rd safari. I thought the guy would be wanting going rate...instead he only wanted $400.00 for it. The only thing I saw wrong with it a a deep gouge, nick in the barrel. Based on location and minimal depth it really didn't present any safety problems.

Damn, 400 bucks! I bought my 458 WM from the same guy I bought my ‘74 model No.1 45/70 I think for 600 each. Both have great wood.

Yeah, I had been reading a lot of classified and different post on here about the #1. And mist were selling for $1000.00+. The seller and another fellow were trying to work out a deal but the other fellow wasn't very interested in trading for the #1, the seller and other fellow wanted me to buy or trade the firearm I had at the show for the #1. I passed because I was preparing for a DG and PG hunt that was just a couple months from happening and I had just purchased 2 firearms, a 458WM and a 375H&H from a member here on AH.

As I was was moving to the next table I heard the seller say $400.00 for the 458WM and the fellow fussed and bought it without trading his rifle; the seller didn't want to add cash and #1 for a trade for a lesser value ~ $600.00 rifle. The seller under valued his #1 and the other fellow was over valuing his more local popular caliber rifle the seller thought he could turn a profit on.

Although i ended up with 2 extra animals, In hind sight I probably should have saved the costs of the 2 extra animals and bought both firearms at less than a fifth of the trophy fees and taxidermy of the 2 additional animals. Worst case senerio I could have turned an easy profit on or one both firearms. But then again I would have kept the #1 just to have a #1 in 458WM (and may be have it reamed to 458 Lott).

Not enough

@BeeMaa
Put your big boy pants back on mate and man up.
The recoil of @Badboymelvin 425 express is a pussy cat. I thought I would need two pairs of big boy pants but it turned out I could have done it with the wife's knickers on. Lucky I go commando so don't need any .
If I could post a video I would show you.

I love my little lowall K Hornet. The 32-20 is very underrated. Loaded with a nice 100gn xtp at 1,800fps it's awesome in a 92 Winchester. Loved mine but a mate loved it more so it now his. You could use my 92 in 25-20 tho.

I realize how hard the bug has bit. I’m on the cusp of safari #2 and I’m looking to plan #3 with my 11 year old a year from now while looking at my work schedule for overtime and computing the math of how many shifts are needed….

I'd like to get some too.

Hallo Marius- do you have possibilities for stags in September during the roar? Where are your hunting areas in Romania?

I'm about ready to pull the trigger on another rifle but would love to see your rifle first, any way you could forward a pic or two?
Thanks,
