When doing historical (US) pre revolution re-enactments participants need to be familiar with the time period of their persona. One of my personas is that of a free longhunter who regularly crossed the mountains (Appalachians), prior to Daniel Boone through the [Frech & Indian War]. Needless to say A Lot of what I learned in school about Early America History was anywhere from totally incorrect to with a somewhat broad stroke correct.
