Takedown Soft Case for Double Rifles?

It may not be a true DR case; but I use a Boyt takedown shotgun case and it works perfectly.

These are very practical. I use one myself for the .450-400 or shotguns.

My Boyt takedown case is over 30yrs. old and is as good today as when I bought it

Very nice, didn’t know these existed! Going to pick one up for my double guns!

They are really handy for anything that requires some packing and a bit of a drive. If you want something really nice from this side of the pond that will do the same job as the Boyt, Murray makes a wonderful takedown case (S-10) in leather. https://murraycustomleather.com/cases.htm

Speaking only for myself, the novelty wears off rather quickly. I'm primarily a ruffled grouses hunter so lots of cover hopping. The need to assemble/disassemble a SxS every time I change location convinced me to go back to a full length case after a few days of use. They are handy if space is limited but mine have mostly been gathering dust for the last 20 years. Others' opinions obviously vary.

one for sale here on AH.. owner has stored a SxS shotgun in it.. I would imagine a SxS rifle would fit just fine..

Thanks for the link…I see Murray also makes a two-barrel model, that could come in handy!

I'm unfortunately on a diet. Presently in VA hospital as Agent Orange finally caught up with me. Cancer and I no longer can speak. If all goes well I'll be out of here and back home in Thailand by end of July. Tough road but I'm a tough old guy. I'll make it that hunt.

Business is the only way to fly. I'm headed to SA August 25. I'm hoping that business isn't an arm and a leg. If you don't mind, what airline and the cost for your trip. Mine will be convoluted. I'll be flying into the states to pick up my 416 Rigby as Thailand doesn't allow firearms (pay no attention to the daily shootings and killings) so I'll have 2 very long trips.
