The light or mid weight is what I would use. I’ve liked all of them from the hunter line.
Sir, Did you sell all of your .404 Jeffery rounds you had listed in Sept 2020? Any left? Let me know. Thanks.
I don't know where you're located, but I'd be happy to let you try out my Krieghoff. I'm located in West Tennessee and the local gun club has a skeet layout and is located not far from my farm. We're about five miles from the Kentucky state line and about 100 miles west of Nashville.

I used my gun to take ducks, geese, sand grouse and guinea fowl in Africa. I took a supply of 3" Magnum shells with me, since I had no idea what the shot shell availability would be in Africa. That was in the early 1970's, however, and I'm sure things have changed since then.
I just joined today, I live in Louisiana. I joined mostly because of all of the 35 Whelen discussion as I am now very interested In the 35 Whelen. I have an 1885 Highwall that J.E.S.S. rebored to 35 Whelen

There are lots of great threads on the forum about the 35Whelen. For some strange reason people think I am some sort of whelen guru. I am not I just found some loads that bring the Whelen velocities into the 21st century.
250 grainers at 2,700fps
225 grainers at up to 2,950 fps.
You can PM me if you want any information.

You are too modest Bob. Welcome aboard JWP475. I myself am a 35 caliber junky but also have a CZ 550 FS in 9.3x62. Check out Bob's previous posts and you will learn much about the Whelens capabilities. I have a Savage 99 I have been thinking of sending the JESS to rebore to 358 win.

I wouldn’t worry about anyone that is a sponser here. They are pretty well vetted and would be destroyed if they pulled anything. There are a lot of unbelievable deals right now because COVID hurt last season so badly. I would not hesitate to book with them if the hunt appeals to you!
Cheers,

I have been looking at an option for a 505, that doesn't break the bank (that concern my have to yield), and is more in the 50-110, or 50 Alaskan range. However not easy to find a case, other than the Weatherby, of course. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

My cartridge is simply the .460 Weatherby case shortened to 2.500" and with the neck opened to accomodate a .505" diameter bullet. I still have the chamber reamer used to create the original rifle, but it was altered to reduce the neck to accomodate .375" diameter bullets. I had rifles built using the basic case necked to both .416" and .375", but after trying out the cartridges abandoned them.

Hello, do you have any information on your 505 SRE cartridge. Up here in Canada, there is talk about how the various 500s may exceed the 10 000 Joule limit recently imposed. Not that they do on paper, but you never know what they may infer or claim.
I hate to bother you....I own 2 of your books including British bore rifle. I was hoping you might have more 10 bore loads. For the heavier and later rifles. Any help would be appreciated.
I hope your hunting season has started off well. I am coming to Namibia for the 7th time in late April of 2022. I am bringing two friends who have never hunted outside of the USA. I have several questions, but before I write them all, I will wait to see if you receive this. Please give a shout................................best regards.........................Bill...............Idaho, USA
Does anyone know where to buy a chamber reamer to convert .458 win to .458 Lott? I hear it is very easy to do—?
