I have none of those...

besides the two ,9.3
and the 318
ive never heard of the other three
and the 318 , only heard of it on here .
I need to get our more ..........

Spike, I don't have one either (although a 9.3x62 is on my short list coming soon) maybe there should be a "I don't have any of these" option?

in my dreams... 4 of them! if i try make that a reality, i might need a new place to sleep...

Interesting thread Mike.

The sad thing is I haven't even shot any of those calibers. (Have shot animals with a 7x57) Might have to come by and go shooting with you one day so I can rectify my deficiencies.

These calibers and ammo aren't real easy to find outside the old Commonwealth countries. What calibers do you have as your camp rifles? Do you own and use all of these calibers?

All the best.

we have a 30-06 but its patsys so will be getting another one and in the process of transferring a .270 onto the company licence. i have all but the .318 (used to have one but sold it before i even shot it) and .333 jeff. have hardly used the .350 or .275 .used the 9.3x74r double a lot but not recently ,and have the 9.3x62 in zambia which gets used the most because of that.

thinking that because there doesnt seem to be many yes ticks so far.........as i said i thought it would be interesting to see over time how many of these there are getting used. i expect the 9.3x62 , .275, 9.3x74r to be the most "common" possibly in that order.........

I've always wanted a good .275 Rigby. Not an actual Rigby of course, you know, because EXPENSIVE. I'd love a nice Mauser actioned 7x57 Mauser though.

you could get an older rigby rifle in .275 for about £1,500.00 not that long ago , so not that expensive as most think. mine was made in the late 1940`s and i got it for that price with the canvas covered hard case. they are nice and trim the old ones. mine was never set up for a scope so only has iron sights and must hace been regulated for the 175 grn bullet as it shot high with the 140 grn.

9.3x62 I used in Namibia on my first trip. Borrowed it from the PH.
It did the job without any concern.

I've got a Mauser Oberndorf in 9.3x62 but only shot one wild goat in NZ with it so far. Just bought a Brno ZKK 600 in 7x57 and need to sort out a load for it. The plan is to take both to Africa in a few years time. Would love to get a Kudu with the 9.3x62.

Maybe I will get to shoot that 9.3x62 one of these days then.(y)

for a bit of fun i was wondering how many of these calibres are owned and used these days
I have a 7x57 Mauser which is similar to the 275 Rigby. I also have a CZ 550 FS in 9.3x62. I hope in the not too distant future to do a Cape Buffalo hunt. I would probably bring two calibres...my 9.3 and 404 Jeffery. I also have a BRNO 602 375H&H, CZ 550 416 Rigby and CZ 550 450 Rigby but am partial to the 404. Actually can't decide between my BRNO 8x68 or the 9.3 to be honest

now pete the way you were on that roll a couple of days ago i thought you had at least one of each on order.......;):A Banana:

Had an excellent classifieds transaction with JoninCO. A truly honest and standup member. I wouldn't hesitate at all to deal with him again. Thanks, J!

Hi Lance, Hope you well. I collect Mauser rifles and they are very much part of my cultural history in Africa. Would you consider selling the rifle now a year on ? I'd like to place it in my collection of Mauser rifles. Many thx

I saw where you hunted elephant with backcountry safaris in Zimbabwe.
Was looking to book an elephant hunt and wanted to know how your hunt went
and if you would recommend them.

Thanks
Mike
hi, do you know about lions hunters, leopard hunters, and crocodiles hunters of years 1930s-1950s
I'm new to Africa Hunting. I would like to purchase a Heym 450-400 double rifle. I'm left-handed but would prefer a non-canted gun. Is anyone in the community considering parting with theirs?
